Hey thank you guys for tuning in! If you are new please subscribe and check out our Instagram @fasterproms What an EPIC couple of days! I’d like to do more projects like this. However I don’t have the tuning software for this car and am trying to obtain it currently. Make no mistake this isn’t competition for neighbor that’s what the Caprice is and that will be coming together very soon! Fasterproms builds streetcars and yes I’m busting a little bit on Cleetus but all in good fun, you should see us in the shop....so much more to come!!

I think it’s so cool that you the tuner is designing the turbo kit! Always different outcome when the guy with the end game knowledge is doing the actual work. Kinda like me a test and balance guy installing an HVAC system.
@gullreefclub5 жыл бұрын
Personally I don’t get all that excited about compression test numbers as long as they are relatively equally, to me what is far more important is what cylinder leak-down percentage numbers are. On a side note it always baffles me why anybody would work on their knees when working in a shop, hell I question anybody working on the floor even under the old shade tree. PS scrap is not Junk only Junk is Junk. This built will certainly be interesting on how well it performs much less if things like the A/C ever has a chance of working or if the coolant tank melts even with the heat shield. That said I like the fact everything is below a flat stock hood. One parting thought Turbo Build a Day and a Laugh, Tuning the Crown Beast ????? Or AKA The Fun has Just Begun!

Love the show I watch every episode and hope to b a tuner one day. soon as the lifts are payed for in the shop I work at we are getting a Dyno we already got hp tuner pro and it's awesome... I herd lazz say something about a oil leak from the hose goin to the oil cap and if that is the drain for the turbo Im almost positive it has to have a scavange pump or u will have a smoky turbo real quick.(leroys turbos are above the valve cover so it works but I believe that is y he had pressure problem that went away after he added a quart the heads can only flow so much oil per sec anyway) drill and tap a hole in the pan under the turbo so the oil can flow.. and keep on making power brother I'm going to do the same

I did a compression test awhile ago at work and come up with the same issue, low compression on all cylinders. Engine ran too well to have that low of compression, later found that the schrader valve was clogged causing issue. Like you said though, roughly all the same and engine was running ok, safe to say it’s probably gonna be ok.

Man you should've took a page from the diy turbo ls guys. Pull the passenger side manifold and cut the front off of it. Weld a 2.5 inch v band onto the front of the manifold. These new manifolds aren't like the old school cast. You can actually weld them. Then you reinstall your manifold upside down and you can connect the drivers side exhuast to the 2.5 inch V band you welded onto the passenger manifold. You could've tucked all of the exhuast up above the crossmember like stock.
