Jake Hatch of "Black Sheep Skid" has got to be in the top 1% of skid steer operators. His skills allow him to accomplish what many can't with a skid steer loader. The machine becomes an extension of his mind and body. A skilled heavy equipment operator like Jake is able to get work done far faster, and with better finish quality. Notice how closely he can operate the Bobcat loader to the sewer cleanouts and sidewalks without hitting them.

The maintenance cost must be high? It' great to balance the machine the way you do. But! I rather you focus on the work and doing it properly.
@SouthwestORV
@SouthwestORV Жыл бұрын
We find that maintenance cost goes down. Less wear and tear on the tires, and the rest of the machine doesn’t seem adversely affected either. And, he operates just as quickly and more smoothly on two wheels than on four.

@@SouthwestORVlol yea competition with clear spaces is cool, try a skid steer speed test in tight spaced projects(real world scenerio haha) only a hand full would survive, by survive i mean try not to step on sawd on the left and a fence on the right while you have wet concrete in the bucket up way high, making center of gravity more vital meaning every quick move will shake it all around causing it to splash all over therefore obly getting to your destination with half bucket🤣 hahah moving crazy without worrying and knowing aint shit around you is easy lol, do it with workers, equipment and machines, sawd, and irigation systems around, thatll be the real test lol im 22 years old with a CDL, twic, and HEO certificate, i work building baseball fields all over the states

I've spent a lot of time working with this operator (in the video). One thing I've noticed is that he does work faster than any other operator I've been around, partially because of how much faster he turns around when on two wheels, and how much less this method disturbs the surface beneath him. He runs his machines like this for years, day in day out, 6-7 days a week, all day every day, with no engine issues.

Right? That's what I'd assume, and yet that does not seem to be the case, after a decade or more of doing it, the machines hold up just fine and don't seem to show any adverse affects from this. He does not do this just as a trick, this is how he operates and he's an owner operator full time.
