She’s a beaut Clark! Sweet machine Mike.. Thanks for taking us along on the maiden voyage. Eastonmade did some really sweet upgrades to an already awesome machine.

That powder coat is supper slick . I took a lil sand paper an just scuffed a small area under the knife . Made a big difference but it still will kick pieces out . I really want to put a few small welds on the table like I have on buster but figured I’d wait till we wore the paint off first .

Hi Mike, that Axis is very fast, be careful. Eastonmade improved a lot of things on this model. As long as you are happy that’s all that counts. You’ll fly through the wood. You did have quite a a pile saved up. Let her buck. Later Al

Awesome machine Mike!! The speed is impressive man! And the transition from the log lift table to the orange table is slicker than owl snot!! Happy for you! 👊🏻
@KNLFirewood2 ай бұрын
I don't know how slick owl snot is, but I'm assuming it's a pretty slippery substance. Probably similar to a hair climbing up a pole, or whatever you said the other night 🤣. Thanks man!

Nice, Mike. Congrats. I also kind of liked the 10x video speed with the 1x sound.

Hi Bill! I learned the 10x speed with 1x sound trick from Dig Drive DiY. He does that quite a bit in his videos. I kinda like it too. Thanks!

You'll love it. It's faster and seemingly more powerful. It's the same tonnage as the previous but it seems more powerful. Run it on 1/2 or 3/4 throttle and it's much more pleasant to run. Almost don't need ear protection. 👍

I think they work best on both ends of the spectrum...they make great, consistent premium bundle wood AND the single knife works pretty darn good on the junk...what I call "boiler wood". Thanks for watching Russ!

Man, that’s a nice splitter! Fast! Go team orange and blue! Did you get a couple EM flags for the wood yard yet? I was thinking some tread tape on there would give it some more grip. Don’t know how it would hold up dragging big pieces across it though. Good show Mike!👍🏻
@KNLFirewood2 ай бұрын
I was thinking your comment section was messed up...I had not seen a comment from you yet 🤣🤣. I did not get any flags. They are working on a beacon for me through. You know, like Batman, but this will be EM. I bought some rhino lining in a can today. We'll see how that works. Thanks as always Rod!

@HybridWoodworks2 ай бұрын
Got mine a few weeks ago. There is no way I’d run it at full speed. Crazy fast. But that’s what I prefer, since now I can run it at 2200 RPM for production splitting. Less fuel, less noise, less wear and tear on the engine. Much better user experience than running the 14hp wide open. I’m thinking of adding a removable plate on the table. Maybe something with a ton of 1/4” holes drilled in it for grip. I’d install it when I process a batch of smaller rejects and tree service garbage. Then take it off when I have bigger clean rounds that I want to slide and rotate easily. Still thinking of a good design.
@KNLFirewood2 ай бұрын
That's a really good idea actually! I was thinking about spraying a little rhino lining right under the knife?? I know it will wear off but don't want to do something "permanent". I'm going to think about that plate idea. Overall you hit the nail on the head. Much more pleasant to run.

I just let it pile up down one side of my trailer, and then turn the trailer around to do the other side. That way, I don’t have to spend time raking it level so that it doesn’t fall off, lol. I guess it depends on how much room you have at your location.
