The Asterion is so beautiful!! There was a few days ago a little movie by Lambo about the Miura called "the italian job" in which they show a prototype which looks like a modern day Miura which is beautiful.

Mea culpa, that is the Miura prototype which is at least 3 years old and which had the Murcielago engine. I think that they would be fools to not make that car as resto mods are incredibly popular at the moment.

It would be a great idea if the autonomous McLaren lap included commentary from a professional race car driver as you go throughout the course. It could include things like braking zones, where to look, and other track specific considerations like bumps and when to throttle on/off.

the second someone offers me the passenger seat of an autonomous supercar I am all in. I don't get what you guys are worried about, cars these days are very safe in collisions and tracks have lots of runoff. it'd be very hard for a computer to do worse than spinning out or understeering on a racetrack.

Hi Derek, the autonomous community is not looking to give us a button to switch to autonomous mode. They are fighting for the idea that autonomous mode is better than the manual mode. They are fighting for the idea that autonomous mode is safer than the manual mode. Ultimately, they want to replace manual with autonomous. So with data, they will win that battle hands down. That's what's going on.

#FLDQoftheD - Answering a question with a question - Wouldn't learning the track on Grand Turismo first be better? With that being said - I would agree to running the track and comparing the results by overlaying the preferred line coming from the PDR. Adding the autonomous features/equipment is an overkill and would add too much weight to the car.

Honestly i could not trust autopilot on supercars just because there is a much greater chance for the car to screw up at high speeds and rough cornering. But if i am in the driver seat i might not mind it as much because i would be there to stop it of something were to go wrong. To me its just crazy how technology is making us lazier as time goes on.
