I'd imagine it's primarily just for the show for the ride-alongs. We were already jacked to be on it and we were in the back...they piped in that convo to us since we didn't have much of a view back there. It's possible there's some sort of cadence that they follow with each flight to give consistency...much like the NFL calls... the Blues pilots do the same without the exaggeration.

What is the purpose of the way they communicate with each other? The inflections and volume is exaggerated. Is it just part of the show or does it serve a purpose in making the checklists better understood? The coms for the jet demo teams are similar for both Blues and Thunderbirds.

It's just for the demonstration, it helps make it more dramatic I presume

​ @matthewmajcher7180 I flew in the jump seat back in 2010. I wasn't wearing a headset so had no idea what was being said until I came across a video years later. I don't think it's for show, and pretty sure that's how Navy pilots talk.
