Can definitely relate about the ear. I’m deaf in the same one and it’s asymmetrical due to a surgery I had when I was a kid. I’ve actually always thought it was cool that Colbert’s ear was the same as mine. I’m a musician and whenever anyone talks shit about my ears I can point to Colbert and say ‘that guy has a career in TV and musical theater’ to get them to shut up.

In southeast Asian countries, the older you are the bigger your birthday party is supposed to be. It's an acknowledgement of how you managed to still remain healthy enough to be alive and kicking despite being older than dirt. It also speaks to how much life experiences you've accumulated and how you're supposed to be a treasure trove of life lessons and guidance for the inexperienced young folks. So why shouldn't they throw Grampa Joe a birthday bash? He managed to remain alive and healthy at 80 AND holding the toughest job in the country! Give him his party, dammit!

I totally agree. Joe Biden should have the party of the century with all his extended family. In fact, why doesn't he have special activities for every hour to symbolize the decade he's lived in? At one o'clock, bob for apples like in the '40; at two, rock'n roll like in the '50; at 3 pm, hula-hoop like in the '60; at 4 pm, experiment with marijuana like in the '70, etc.

Wow, the ears, out of a decade or more of watching Colbert and I NEVER noticed the asymmetrical ears. I mean, a deformity that people don't even notice is probably the BEST type of deformity to have. You know, unless it.... _down there!_
