You know, my memory of the first season was hazy, I was really under the impression trolls were fully haze monster like the fish folk, ratlings and gnolls, corrupted to the core and unable to be reasoned with. I was as surprised as Pluto when they started eloquently objecting to being hunted for sport 😅

seem to be affected diffrently might be due to them being diffrent kind of trolls and therefor the haze mutation effected them in another way, or they were affected to less/more givning the same outcome.

I just bought yesterday the pdf version of Sebastian's Crow guide to Drakkenheim, I only had time to check the whole Apothecary class and the subclasses... and they are AMAZING! Maybe someone a little (not much) OP, but they are so well designed and flavorful! I'm in love with the alienist, the mutagenist, the arcane monk, the Hexes Paladine, the Commander Fighter..! Just for this are money well spent, but there is a lot more! Thank you for the love that you put in the book Dungeon Dudes!

Yea, that's a great idea. That centipede could be enough for the druid... At least you may ask. It did not have to be a dragon, but a soul that is capable enough. They might need a dragon to pull two souls, specially Sebastians mother could be a tough one. But this party does not know anything about it.

(Priests can often resurrect for some minutes or hours, but after that you need this kind of harder actions, or their souls may become even lost...)

Sometime it's fun to do some math and do some estimates of how much Pluto can lift... I won't get into the details, but according to my assumptions and all, Pluto shoulder pressed the deadlift world record a couple of times like it was routine exercise... (probably much more because delirium is very dense)

Spoilers!!! Brellem being 14 wizard 2 fighter means he can do the microwave ( force cage sickening radiance). If they can cast spells they can counterspell with both him and plutos shield. All but the last point of exhaustion is good way to hold someone like we saw with how the Countess held people. Also if all else fails I believe brellem of a power level to sacrifice for sabastian.

A message from the "future": Well, I'm not the voice of reason/truth, but I have a few theories on why the food doesn't rot in drakkenheim: 1-Monty simply found a cool way to make things easier to justify the presence of corpses 2-Monty simply wanted to add a cool atmosphere of "disaster" to the city 3-Delirium mutates stuff, so it just re-mutates the small lesions and overtime damage back to "life" 4-Delirium is so toxic that it kills micro-organisms necessary for stuff to rot 5-Delirium automatically mutates all the micro-organisms into objects and fuses them to the closest biggest monster or object it can find 6-none of these is correct "roll a d6" Some of these might still make the food non ideal... Also, in the fiture they totally forget the snail shell and portions anyways (they might still remember)

@@Franimus If you forget to use your skills, its your own fault... Basics for the players, know/remember your skills. And how many times team totally forgets that they have just been given important items? Weeks pause is often too long. Write important things down (just few words per issue) and take 15 mins to go through the list before session... Makes huge difference for the gaming experience. Also world issues and area relevant issues should be in that list too. It is almost impossible to remember everything specially if you play once per month or so, or even once per week. Write things down and gain extra memory.

Can you dispel your magic that is cast from an item? Specially by Pluto that has almost no idea how magic happens? If you are a magic caster, that is of course so, but for non-caster, it could be bit hard, because its through an item. (And in this case you won't even have whole item anymore... The helmet has to have a components for dispelling...) But yea, in the end its DM's choice. (Idk what rule book says about this.)

Sorry for the late reply. Wall of Fire is a concentration spell, and the Helm of Brilliance specifies that the user simply casts that spell when using a ruby. This means Pluto can just drop concentration at any time to end the effect, same as any other concentration spell. I think this is why Monty allowed it, even though it is technically not "dispelling" the spell.

It was really telling when he cast AID at level 2. AID is always worth upcasting with your highest spell slot. So... When they only got 5 HP, I was like... "Oh no..."

Personally I think aid is overrated. If I have 5th level spells then that's an insect plague (read area denial) that didn't happen. I could cast aid with a 4th level spell slot and give 15 hit points or I could cast command at 4th level and force 4 enemies to skip their turn and prevent 8-12 attacks. That's maybe an oversight on me but it's a spell I just don't think is ever worth casting unless you are high level and have spell slots for days, even then it's not worth upcasting. Damage prevented is better than damage mitigated, and even if you upcast it to 9th level that's what 40 hit points? That's like one attack at that level That said, I'm not saying that you are doing it wrong, it's just not a spell I prioritize

@ADT1995 you do you. There is much more to it than that. 20hp with a level 5 spell slot sounds meh, but multiply that by 4 (average party size), and that is 80hp. If you have a barbarian in your party then it is effectively 100 extra hp. Almost like having 2-3 entire other party members worth of hp.
