Yeah. And it's stunning and scary how easily Veo and pluto are manipulated. She turned those two against that ancient director old man knight and got them to agree to help her in 2 minutes... She even got pluto to reveal EXACTLY what she wanted to hear, that they had met and been to old man knights' lair. Monty even puts emphasis on it by saying just how wide her smile and grin is, but neither veo or pluto realise. And I kinda think neither Jill nor Joe as players fully realised what they just did and what they all gave away in that one conversation with the queen of thieves. Either that or they're great actors.

@@johanwittens7712i think they know exactly what they did. And that's a reason why I love them as players. They decided to play characters who can be manipulated. That is role-play of the highest level.

In previous episodes the solution came to me the moment Veo said that nothing was done to help her dad so far. I was sitting there, thinking: "Sebastian, just promise to use the first Wish for her dad. That's enough to prove you're still capable of empathy and sacrifices for your friends." Aaaaaand here we are now, with QoT making this same offer to Veo an episode later. I admire how Kelly sticks to roleplaying Sebastian's blindness in certain aspects - it really underlines his new state of undeath. "We're friends!" - is now such a sad line, coming from him, when he nearly pushed Pluto into attuning to the demon sword, and while he is still dead set on fighting Sorcerer King - risking his friend's lives, but not his own.

The issue is there's a chance the first Wish is the ONLY Wish. Sebastian and Kat both know that. Sebastian is just being honest about his priorities, Kat is almost certainly lying.

Honestly I think the better play is going with Old Man Knight. Would stealing from him probably be easier? Yes. Is there a non 0% chance of him lying to them? Yes. But in the event he's being genuine and he actually wants to help them he'd be invaluable as an ally. I think Cat does want her sister back, why wouldn't she, but over the course of the last decade and change has really fleshed out how she'd control Mouse once she was in charge. Part of that manipulation hinges on HER bringing back her sister.

In this episode of *the fate of drakkenheim*: the Queen of thieves manipulates the party into doing a complete 180 from their position at the start of the session 😂 Absolute classic. Happens every time. Hell, she basically convinced me as well. Monty comes *prepared* with how the QoT talks/argues, and how he sets up her leverage. And she has an emotional side as well as the cunning (or is it all just an act…) Favourite NPC Great session I’m running a game that is 90% drakkenheim, it’s my first time DMing as opposed to playing and it’s going pretty well! (I may have aimed a bit high trying to do faction intrigue as my first campaign, but whatever!)

I really enjoyed this episode. I remember kelly mentioned in another video that jill and joe kinda wanted his character to be the mouth piece of the group but I think seperating the party and having veo and pluto making their own decisions payed off immensly. Especially because we had the two of them having an honest discussion with the QoT without the interference of sebastian. I hope that both veo and pluto will become more confident in their abilities and their own morals. Again, great episode from my favourite dnd nerds ❤

The Queen of Thieves is so darn persuasive. I love how even though the characters talk about how they can’t trust her every time they are preparing to talk to her, she still manages to evoke their empathy and get them to see things the way she wants them to. Monty is most devious!

This episode had me GRIPPED. I genuinely felt very bad for everyone involved, and the way Monty played the queen was terrifying as well. So well done I was almost fully convinced of her by the halfway mark right before the switchup to Sebastian revealed it was all a lie. 10/10 episode.

Monty is truly the master here. He portrayed different people so good that I think he mastered a form of Identity Disorder that he let a personality out when he rp a character. The manipulative Queen of Thieves, a kind and wise Xel’vocah, a ignorant and arrogant Alabastar, etc. His skill is just phenomenal

I both cant believe and am unsurprised that Veo and Pluto did a complete 180 after 5 minutes of talking to Kat. I really really really hope they don't actually help her. She's so yucky as a person and helping her gain any grain of power will only hurt the two parties down the line. At the same time though she'd be the perfect candidate to be Willhelm's spymaster, but is it really worth turning old man night into an enemy? I don't think so.

Awesome RP. I understand Sebastian's point of view, but he's super in the wrong, lol. Pluto and Veo sacrificed alot to bring him back and he only seems interested in pursuing his own agenda still. But Clearly! Pluto and Veo need Sebastian! Haha they are way in over their head with the Queen of Thieves. 😂

Its really incredible how well Monty plays the QoT. I still dont have any real idea what her true desires are. A lot of hunches but nothing is clear and thats so fun about her. When it was revealed that Mouse is the next heir in line it struck me that Dungeons of Drakkenheim is just a really elaborate Kat and Mouse game set up by Monty I also think that ever since Sebastian made the pact to become a lich hes clearly turned delusional and desperate just trying to convince himself hes right. Hes very clearly and evil man (which Kelly is portraying amazingly).

We are probably finishing this up by the end of this year or shortly after. Note that the series has three seasons. Season one: dungeons of drakkenheim is 52 episodes Season two: shadows of drakkenheim has 50 Season three: fate of drakkenheim we are estimating to have about 100 episodes. There are also about 20 or so episodes of the untold tales of drakkenheim, additional mini stories told in the universe from various secondary characters points of view. So if you do decide to start, there is a lot of binging waiting for you.
