If the khan returned and ralied the WS and all their successors, this would definitely boost their morale ten fold. Even at a disadvantage, having the khan lead you into battle would not only be a sight to behold but also motivate you to fight for victory at all cost. I would have to agree. Jaghatai would most likely go for the head. Thats a fight Huron would lose and huron is probably smart enough to know this. It really does open an interesting storyline.

That is actually unlikely at this point. The Space Wolves Stormseer looked to the future to see if Russ would be returning anytime soon. The answer was no, however he did see the return of Johnson, Jaghatai and Corvus. In that order. The Stormseer is one of if not the greatest precog in the Imperium. So much so that even Guilliman is already making preparations for those 3 Primarchs returns. Why not Vulkan, Dorn or Russ? Simply because there isn't any signs that any except Johnson, Jaghatai and Corvus will be returning. Hell we already know where Johnson is, we know the Scars went into the Webway to get Jaghatai and that Corvus is alive, has embraced his psychic gifts and is currently hunting and kicking the sh*t out of Lorgar in every dark corner of the Immaterium. They aren't leaving Jaghatai until last this time.

He won't. Even he acknowledge Abaddon's unassailable position of strength as it is. And Abaddon has only grown stronger for the past 10 millennia. The Black Legions resources and manpower rivals if not surpasses any Crusade-Era Legion in raw numbers (though not cohesion or unity).

@@KaiserAfini Those happened often in the beginning of The Black Legions rise, but as of current 40k Abaddon’s position is supreme. GW has said so in every Codex since 1996, but the fanbase has an irrational and meme-based dislike for Abaddon and often dream about his eminent demise and replacement. Nothing in Lore has ever indicated that such a thing was likely. On the contrary, the Warmaster’s wins and achievements have stacked up massively since 2014/16 but many fans downright refuse to change their (non-canonbased) opinions on Abaddon.

I feel like The Kahn returning would be one of the best primarchs to return. The Relentless pressure he can apply to an enemy would be invaluable. I feel Jagitai or Dorn would be the brothers Guilliman would find most useful to have back, although he would have some questions to answer to them. If the Lion comes back first, that will be good for the Imperium but not necessarily for Guilliman. Both the Kahn and the Pretorian would likely have an extremely stabilizing effect on the general situation, either by seizing the initiative and relentlessly pressuring chaos and anyone else who gets in the way or by digging in their heels and stymieing the enemy at every turn.
@Forbiddensirenz
@Forbiddensirenz 2 жыл бұрын
I agree with most of what you said. But I’d have to disagree with Dorn. As unshakable and intolerant he is, him seeing he religious fervor the Imperium has fallen into, and then seeing Guilliman allowing it… I don’t think he’d be easy to sway and would go on a rampage over it. He is practical and might be able to calm down and see the bigger picture, but at the start and for a good while, things would not be good. The Lion I feel would be similar, but he’d more so want to do his own thing and kind of figure out his chapter and their successors. But he’d at least give Guilliman his chance to speak and explain himself. Probably just a “You’ve got 30 seconds to explain why this is okay or I’m kicking your ass.” Big brother type moment. And Guilliman will at least be able to convince him. The Khan would be one of the better brothers to come back though, yes. Or maybe worse since he could go down the route of “Ehhhh… This isn’t the imperium I “fought for.” Finger quotations, since his whole attitude was always kind of “Well dads a tyrant, but the forces of literal hell are far worse.” He might just gather his men and say peace ✌🏼and go off and do his own thing. Dads gone, imperium is trash and I never wanted anything to do with it. I’m gonna go do my own thing. Least those are my opinions haha. So many possibilities out there really.

@@Forbiddensirenz that would be honestly pretty interesting if each returning primarch causes the Imperium to fracture, with each claiming to be the true successor state to the Imperium, while the true power of the very much still around Imperium steadily declines until it's a papal states situation, hemed all the way back into segmentum solar with each loyal primarch leading seperate splinter states that are still loyal to the Imperium or to humanity as a whole, but not each other.

@@Forbiddensirenz Something to consider: Lion and Jaghatai were not particularly close to Guilliman in the past. I believe there's some lines from the Horus Heresy where the Avenging Son speaks condescendingly about the Khan. They would undoubtedly be a successful duo/trio if reunited, but on a personal level, it may be awkward. Also, we don't know how messed up Jaghatai's psyche is after all this. Primarchs are unparalleled in strength but can become mentally unstable. We'll see. However unlikely it may be, I wager Dorn would work best with Roboute in restoring the Imperium.

I HOPE HOPE HOPE Khan will come-back with an alliance (or maybe somehow indebted) to segments of the Eldar. (Perhaps something similar to how the Harlequin try to guide & befriend Fabius Bile.) If you think about it.... If the Eldar WERE going to befriend, save, or attempt to reason with a Primarch, it MAKES SENSE they'd choose the Khan For, the Khan viewed truth as being SYNONYMOUS with duty. Every other Loyalist Primarch valued AMBITION, DUTY, or even BLIND LOYALTY more than TRUTH. The Khan was, truly, the only one who didn't give a SHIT about anything except truth. This is pointed out in the books, REPEATEDLY. In a way, it's his defining characteristic. This is why Khan despised the Imperial (Lie) Truth. It was, frankly, an assault on his integrity. And, rightly so. This is ALSO why he is a "wanderer" by nature. When you can't indulge in deceit, or self-delusion, it's a lot EASIER, and less of a hassle, to get through life by avoiding people. This is why he speaks his mind, even if it's rude or unseemly. This is why he doesn't have emotional reactions or attachments to things like "glory" or "legacy." One thing I've learned in MY LIFE, real life, is most people use self-deceit and delusion as a shield. And, for a period of time, it works very well for them. But, that shield becomes their PRISON. If you hide behind lies and self-deceit this will prevent individual growth. Truth is a MUCH better shield, but, it's just MUCH HEAVIER TO CARRY.

Personally I feel leaning on a loyalist primarch return is usually hoping for an ex machina of an even higher degree than usual that gets pulled out for people. As much as I enjoy the thought of getting more loyalist primarchs back to even the number available between imperium and chaos, I would bet on it being more realistic to see reinforcements called upon for aid, or something else coming up to draw Blackheart's attention away from the sector. There's also the possibility of a defeat and the loss of the homeworld, something I feel the white scars could survive if all hope was lost thanks to their mobile style of warfare.

The main problem I have with 40K 9th edition is that the Primarchs and Chapter Master appear wholly incompetent crunch-wise as commanders. A 6" Aura ? +1 Command Point per turn, maybe ? With all the ressources and authority of Imperium Nihilus, Dante gets +1 Command Point, which allows him to, what, hands out 1 Relic from his Chapter Arsenal's upon which he has absolute authority and control ? And 3 Points for Guilliman ? "Yeah, mate, it's called Balance." Balance in what ? If we calculated the cost in points of a Chapter, it would raise to, say, between 30 or 40 thousand points... Now, imagine vying for the favour of getting 3 relics among As for Huron, exact same problem. Chapter Master isn't supposed to be a line warrior or sub-officer rank, it's a General rank. So why does it give a special favour to a single unit in a range of 6" ? What if he needs the job to be done 200km away from his current position ? Can the Tyrant of Badab manage all of these renegades joining his Corsairs ? Nope. It's not a baby-sitting job.

Right now the Imperium of Man needs any of it's greatest warriors it can get Jaghatai's performance at the Siege of Terra should have removed any doubt in the fans minds as to whether he can be counted amongst the greatest of the Primarchs. Plus we know that every Primarch has psyker abilities. Corvus has finally embraced his Shadow abilities and he is devastatingly powerful now. He embodies being killed by your own shadow. Jaghatai has always had the ability to control the elements. Particularly the over wind, thunder, lightning, and water. Essentially an elemental shaman. They haven't revealed what Johnson has yet. I do not believe he will be in the top group but he should have interesting abilities all the same. Originally the order was: Magnus Sanguinis Jaghatai Kurze Lorgar And no one else really using any. Now the order is: Magnus Lorgar Jaghatai Corvus Fulgrim Sanguinis and Kurze being dead no longer apply. Horus, Alpharius and Ferrus died never revealing their gifts. As for the rest it does look like GW had finally decided to reveal their gifts as we see Corvus and Lorgar finally showing theirs but Guilliman hasn't as of yet, suggesting that he's probably on the lower end of the scale.

I really dont like Primarchs coming back, they are supposed to be legendary god like figures, having them in the 40k cheapens their presence. Huron is a badass and a solid warmaster contender but no way he could stand up to Jagathai Khan unless they resort to nerfing the Khan, that would be lame asf

You pronouncing Huron's name as "Hyuron" is giving me weird feelings.

@@jonathanfitzpatrick5435 "Hooron". No "yu" in there. It sounds silly.

Most of the chapters need their Primarchs right now. For whatever reason GW decided that between 30k and 40k every chapter would become ridiculously dumb. You've got werewolves, space vampires, conspiracy theorists... Can't wait for the Lion to show up. DA are going to be like, we have this secret and the Lion is going to be like, and? How much fucking time have you wasted on this over the last 10,000 years?
