@Barney Stinson There's "non-materialistic" and then there's "entirely clueless". Example: when this goofball's equally "Dope" (a noun and/or verb misused as an adjective) and "Relaxt" (not a word at all) dimwit of a father gets lost on his way home and/or forgets how to breathe (he has *_no idea_* what is in a contract wihch he presumably signed? Is this man for real...?!), I can only assume that juvenile Dad Mk II will have "No Worries" (incorrect capitalisation) while he skateboards his way into starvation, hm? The pair of them have absolutely no concept of how to prioritise cold, harsh reality over 'cool' but hardly essential leisure pursuits, and to be honest I can hardly blame Naomi for quite evidently wanting to have her (no doubt very expert) lawyers pull the infamous mystery-shrouded contract to pieces and rewrite it... and probably in her favour, too. Then again, since she appears to be keeping the daft father-son duo in stock (and probably food, too), one can hardly expect her to do it for free... no matter how "Dope" either of them may or may not be. Sheesh.

They got so rinsed by that company. I mean he could try in court to argue prior artwork and want of understanding, I think any reasonable judge would see that he was hoodwinked here and should grant him his IP back. Also if he is named on the patent the company has basically indicated he is the inventor already. Take it back dude. Thomas Alsum that’s one way of looking at it. The other is that he was actively misled and manipulated. This happens. And most judges if it’s clear and provable this is the case and today it usually is because we have email paper trails for pretty much everything today. So it really depends. If you’re right then yeah suck it up. But there are many vampires and trolls out there who steal things and judges have legal instruments at their disposals to overturn many of these things. If he was legitimately conned and the other party was wilfully acting in bad faith. Then he deserves some justice. But yeah it might be a case that he signed and didn’t give a crap. In which case you’re right expensive lesson. Basic fraud on the other hand is a different case altogether.

Matthew Olsen I’ll have to rewatch the video to remind myself it’s been a while. I think the guy was maybe naive for sure. But that doesn’t mean the company wasn’t predatory and manipulative. In which case there may be a case that they were lying by omission or misrepresenting their offer.

Not at all, it is a very small social media following. I hope to see the 2wheelboard in the UK because I'd definitely purchase one. Where I live our pavements/side-walks are very uneven, so skateboarding can be a little more difficult. I recently purchased a skateboard to make it possible for me to hold/grab onto the rear handles of my partners electric wheelchair, in order to 'save my back' whilst walking. Unfortunately I'm not able to use the skateboard because I have to start from a very slow speed which results in the board stopping at even the smallest imperfection in the pavement surface. The 2wheelboard's two wheels would effortlessly traverse the pavement surface (including block pavement, tiles and pebbled concrete/tarmac).
@addybishop308
@addybishop308 4 жыл бұрын
sirplantain if you can’t get this I know there are a few all terrain wheels made for skateboards that are relatively popular out here. (Can’t speak for what’s available out there but should be able to order from amazon or some larger online retailers). There’s two basic kinds that could really help you out. One looks like a regular skateboard wheel (generally slightly larger though) but made from a much softer polyurethane so it absorbs the shock of changing surfaces. The other looks like the kind of tires you would see on a remote control truck or a construction vehicle. It uses the same principle of car tires and has pockets of air and are made of very flexible rubbery materials. (Looks a lot like what they put on this two wheeler) I’m not an expert but these are types I’ve had friends try out. I’d give them a try on your own to get used to them a little because they don’t ride quite the same. Tend to be bouncier so they aren’t made for certain tricks but would be great for your purposes and should be pretty easy to put on your existing board. Sorry this is a little long but I hope that might help! There are some KZbin videos trying some so you can see what I’m talking about. Good luck :D

@WESYM Credit cards are for personal credit. A business bank loan has different rules and differ according to the type of business venture. Service businesses can be granted loans easier than product businesses, which need past sales and growth.

Modern day artists/musicians hear over and over again "DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT!! until you had a good lawyer read it over" but it seems inventors don't get this advice as often
@---cr8nw
@---cr8nw 3 жыл бұрын
Many forms of art and music have very low overhead. For music, you need an instrument (or several instruments). Once the "product" is made, replicating it is super cheap and easy. Inventing a device requires sculping, modeling, testing (to the point of failure), making new models and molds, etc. Every failure costs money. Every subsequent attempt costs money. With music and art, as long as you don't sell the instruments, you can try and try and try again. So inventors get desperate for a cash influx and sell away rights.
@wherehouseedm
@wherehouseedm 3 жыл бұрын
@@---cr8nw the real expensive parts of making music are studio time (if you don't have your own) and marketing/promotion. and then there's travel costs if you're a touring/live musician. idk if replicating a successful song is easy, but I don't think it's the best idea. If you're the type of artists that makes the same song over and over again, your fans could lose interest. let's say you make 5 songs and want to test and see which one could be a hit, you're going to be promoting 5 songs, and if you're very lucky, 1 of them will make a ROI. each of those unsuccessful songs costs money. saying that it doesn't costs more because you still have the instruments is like saying the inventor isn't spending more, because he keeps using the same hammer and screwdriver.
@wherehouseedm
@wherehouseedm 3 жыл бұрын
I'm not saying selling away rights are always a bad idea, but you should always have an attorney look over that contract, so that you don't end up in a situation where you're trying to sell something that isn't yours to sell anymore.

Jesus, he doesn't own the patent???!!!! There is a reason why we went to law school and not all of us are mercenary shysters. My clients are ordinary, little guys like this man. He needed an i.p./corporate barrister there in Australia to go sit in that American boardroom, read that crappy contract and tell him not to sign it. I would even have waived the application and filing fees just to get his name on the patent. And it would have been registered with WIPO. Worldwide. Smh
