Um actually, this is way too late, but there were three things wrong with that Steven Universe Fusion question: 1) it isn't a ritualised dance, any dance will do as long as both gems have a true relationship, it doesn't even have to be a wholesome relationship, as when Pink Diamond's Topaz fuses with the corrupted Crystal Gem in spite of hating them, or when she fuses with Lapis Lazuli, trapping both of them in an abusive relationship at the bottom of the sea. In fact, I don't think the dance is even strictly necessary, as the first time Garnet formed neither Ruby nor Sapphire were dancing, Ruby was diving in to protect sapphire from falling debris. 2) The one in the show, Garnet isn't a pure gem, she's a fusion. 3) it isn't only Gems, as long as one of them is a gem, humans can be part of fusions: case in point, Steg and Stevonnie. This might be unique to Steven though, as he is the only known half-human Gem. In fact, I'm pretty sure Steven himself is a fusion, of the pink diamond version of himself, and the human parts of himself. That show was weird. Like, I've never partaken of drugs, but that show made me feel like I was on drugs, you know? I hate that I remember this much about it.

Also also Um Actually After we are introduced the Homeworld gems, Jasper and Lapis fuse seemingly out of spite for the Crystal Gems and Steven, in reality being just a ploy from Lapis to trap Jasper at the bottom of the sea. This is neither for power, nor relationship. Also fusions are sometimes treated as gem-sex by the series itself, heavily implying Jasper abused Lapis during their time at the bottom of the sea. The series makes it a point of making Lapis afraid and really aggressive agaisnt the idea of fusion after they separate, much like some abuse survivors tend to be after they get away from their abuser. PD: if you or anyone you know are the victim of an abuser, please speak up. Please seek safety. Despite whatever the abuser tells you, you deserve love and affection in a healthy way and you should not be mistreated in a relationship. There's millions of people everyday that fall victim and die to abuse, sexual or otherwise. Please, don't become a number, please reach out in a safe manner for you. There's helplines, codes at establishments, friends and family that will be there to help you. You are not alone.

Uhm actually, not only was Lavender Brown recast as white when she became a major character (yikes), but in all of the films, a different, larger actor is used for Hagrid in shots looking from afar, to make him look bigger.
@timmyhkvt3 жыл бұрын
Ehh, the Lavender Brown case is more complicated than that. Yes, someone else came in when the character became more prominent, but there's no reason to assume shenanigans at the base of the matter. Directors have to cast lots of people in tiny roles, and naturally most of them aren't going to be up to the challenge of being a primary character in multiple scenes in the next movie - or they just did one gig as an extra, and decided not to keep going. Is there any evidence to indicate that this sort of thing isn't what happened with Lavender's actresses?

Fun fact about the Star Wars question. They also did not tell Sebastian Shaw in the first movie (episode 4) that his voice was not going to be used. So while on set he was delivering lines, only for James Earl Jones to be dubbed in later, and Sebastian not knowing until the premier.

@eveescastle58664 жыл бұрын
Honestly you're not missing out HBO Max is an abysmal platform that doesn't work half the time. I swear I spend more time fighting it trying to get it to work than actually watching anything. My favorite is when I actually get to work and in has a stroke and gives me the Can't play title error while it's still playing in the background. Honestly if it wasn't for the fact I'm not paying for it, I wouldn't use it. You're better off pirating the content on there because at least then you can watch it without issues.
