Father gorilla outraged at the sight of his son eating with his mother. / Shabani Group

The atmosphere turns sour when Shabani comes to the mother, Nene, who is having dinner with her son, Kiyomasa.
The keeper decides to start lunch about an hour earlier than usual, and although the situation calms down for a moment, the mood turns sour once again.
But after dinner, the two kept their distance but remained calm.
The next day, Shabani and Kiyomasa will return to their usual relationship😊

(This comment is only what I'm perceiving and I claim no knowledge to what may really be going on. I just adore this family and at this point, my heart is genuinely invested in them and their wellbeing. But again, I'm no gorilla expert! I'm just theorizing.❤) Shabani seems really pissed about something. It looks like Kiyo has a wound above his left eyebrow. Maybe something happened in the basement? (Like many of us tried to guess may have happened with their last big fight.) I always hate seeing Annie during these times. She gets so stressed. And as much as I love Nene, I wish she respected Shabani more. I get that Kiyo is pretty much her world but it honestly gets frustrating. And with Ai, I feel like she is mostly just mirroring what Nene is doing. I must say that I absolutely love when the chimps do that "WUH!" sound when they see trouble in the Shabani home. 0:57 Seems like at least one of the chimps is always watching. 😂 Such nosey neighbors. @@mangelesgomezgarcia6074 it's because kyomasa is at the age where he should be leaving the group. Unfortunately he is stuck here and has to wait for humans to make the right decision. In the wild shabani would be forcing kyomasa out of the group. That's what you are seeing now. Even though they are not in the wild, shabani still has the instinct to push kyomasa out of the group. As we have seen with many other groups, this behavior will only get worse the longer they leave kyomasa here.

Kind of takes a lot to piss off Shabani these days but if anyone can do it it’s Kiyo. He’s a mommas boy. Try’s to be big a bad but steps behind his mother and sister Ai. Both wives I feel are always coming to juniors side which would piss me off to if I was Shabani. Nene has always defended her very spoiled son. They need to start separating him, because he’s far to dependent on them and whenever he an dad fight he hides behind mom try’s to push dad some more an than hides an sulks when his father puts him in his place.

This is the reason i think why after the last big fight Annie has been snubbing Ai, I think Annie is annoyed at Ai always siding with Nene when the troop decides to disrespect Shabani. Annie is as loyal as ever!

Annie è andata vicino al suo papà,lo ha guardato e si sarà detta " Mi sembra tutto ok" infatti subito dopo la si vede con 3 cetrioli,mangiava tranquilla. Annie is completely loyal to her father. Shabani was always with her when she was separated from the troop when she was a baby, as was Kiyo. More than Ai and Nene so I think she is very close to him and anything the other gorillas do she will remain by his side but it bothers her to have to choose-evidenced by her losing weight when kiyo and Shabani get into their fights. It really upsets her a great deal. Shabani is a wonderful gorilla father by not going off on the others when they disrespect his authority over the troop. He really has great restraint because of his love for them.

Unfortunately it iss kiyo that has become the new leader of the troop with full support from alpha female nene who kiyo has been mating most with and annie... and it will be kiyo that will most likely go kingkong on shabani and really hurt him bad i mean bad.. but this is the reality of gorillas raised in captivity. You have to accept the facts and dont make ignorant comments like this one , dont be ignorant to whats actually going on here. I have studied these animals for a very long time in captivity. I already know how all of this ends and believe me it isnt pretty.. the young growing male kiyo is going to do some real damage pretty soon ti shabani with all the females behind kiyo swipping and bitting and literally corning shabani all at once.. like i said, already witnessed this exact situation and how it ended... this is terrible but we all know that we did this to them , now we get to watch them tear eachother to literal peices.

Everyone knows that Shabani is a great father & a wonderful troop leader. But Nene & Ai never respected Shabani. Nene & Ai are lucky that they didn't end up with Haoko or Momotaro. Because they wouldn't tolerate any disrespect or insubordination. Poor Shabani must get bored, frustrated & stressed out because he doesn't have a real wife. Princess Annie may be the only loyal troop member.

I believe the issue was over food.😢 (Isn't there enough food...?)😢 And now, after watching the whole video, I see that Shabani was worried that he wasn't seen as leader anymore. Leaders are suppost to have the most, in Silverback eyes.😢❤ It would be a milestone for them to hand off food to one another, as in sharing instead of dropping food by order.

I think it is all over kyomasa. He is at the age where he needs to be separated from the group. If they were in the wild shabani would be pushing him out of the group, which is pretty much what shabani is doing. The zoo's in Japan need to do something with all of these young gorillas. This is a failed program.

The ones who want to continue these programs, must put their differences aside for the sake of the animals. Think of the genes that would be established from gorillas from accross the world. We must look beyond what we see, and give them secure, well established homes to preserve the species.

Kiyo and his mother did nothing wrong. Shabani was being a bully 😩. I guess it’s natural for Shabani to feel intimidated by his son; however, we don’t know if something went on in the basement 🤔. We only see a glimpse of their day so who knows. Ann said she’s not getting envolved with that foolishness 😂. I hope the zoo is working on a bachelor section for Kiyo ❤.
