Mine makes a loud squeak

Mine has come back. P1480. I took the car on a recent trip to Wales and it successfully regenerated the dpf, but as soon as I stopped, code was back. I've fitted a new servo motor assay and cleared fault but it's still storing as a fault. I've tried an iCarsoft diagnostic which has thrown a P1485 code which is fault pending. I've searched out another video which eludes to an ill fitting servo motor and shows a fix using washers. I am certain that my exhaust flap is free and working as it should but still the codes appear. Pierburg do a weld in complete valve assay with servo for £135 I may give that a go next

What worked with freeing up the valve was; I blunted the end of an air chisel and gave the outside of the shaft housing a good battering, along with lots of WD40 it springs back a treat, but it's still not fixed.

The loud squeak is probably either the shaft starting to seize up or the motor stripping it's gears. It should just make a buzz

Mine is now 100% fixed but the valve needed recalibrating with a more sophisticated obd2 scanner than mine so that the ECU would recognise that it was fixed

I have this exact problem on my xtrail how do I remove the servo?

The servo is the motor which actuates the valve in the exhaust, it unbolts with two torx screws and a plug. When you have the valve freed up, you need to replace the valve making sure that the tag on the valve and servo slot together. I had to get valve data recalibrated before it would recognise that the problem was fixed. My computer wouldn't do that but a mobile diagnostic Mechanics would which cost me £10

Really appreciate your help and guidance will be trying that fix this weekend have a good day 🙏

@@jamesmailer4993 taking the servo motor off allows you to turn the valve beyond it's normal field of travel, which with plenty of wd40 should free it up a lot better than just moving it with the servo attached. Be careful to get the valve and servo slot and tag to engage correctly when you refit the servo though.
