@@BradleyZS Yes and no. There's a finite amount of planets on the map; and to scout a sphere, you can circle around it like 4 times, and note the landmarks; and you can pick a place, and diligently comb through everything that's available there; and over time, you'll have enough clues to find hidden targets. But that's if you enjoy playing methodically, rather than bouncing around naturally. Not everyone does, not everyone can. It's okay, there are different types of gamers, and gaming is meant to be enjoyable. But I'll disagree that "focus" on a task has to be external and heavy for most gamers - otherwise open sandboxy games like Minecraft wouldn't've become as popular.
@BradleyZS11 ай бұрын
@@Lishtenbird I'm not saying people need the focus, but that the result of no clear focus leads to defining of our own goals. Can you really fixate on one planet at a time? After all, you're on a 22 minute cycle, your focus is deliberately interrupted. The goal, whether realised or not, is to learn as much as possible in order to achieved the ending. I also did one planet at a time, but I'd bet that's a masculine mindset of viewing the game as having places and objects; Fauna, being feminine, may view the game as having characters/stories that make more sense to follow. Both can be done methodically and both lead to the same outcome.

(Spoiler ahead) Ironically, the way to reach the top pedestal in the statue workshop by waiting until it's thrown in space to do it without gravity is also the way to get into the tower of quantum knowledge - You wait until it collapses in the black hole so you can float up the tower in space. So if she would have solved the statue workshop, I think there is a good chance she would also have connected the dots and solved the tower of quantum knowledge because it would have been fresh in her memory how you can reach places in space that you can't reach with gravity

The reveal of there possibly being at least two others with their memories being downloaded to a statue opens up the possibility of a conspiracy being carried out. Encountering a Nomai statue is pretty rare, but it's worth noting if they have their eyes open and in what locations they are. The obvious suspects are the other Venture Wilds pilots. My money is on Felspar. He seems to have been a prodigious pilot, but maybe that's less skill and luck and more not being able to die? The other candidate, might it be Hornspel? If any of the other pilots are in a loop, their mental stability may be in doubt as it's possible they've been stuck in one for a much longer period with their loops lasting possibly much longer as well. They've had maybe hundreds of life-times to develop Outer Wilds Ventures technology to the point where they can possibly end the loop before it begins again. So did one of them set up the sun to go nova at their start of the protagonist's loop? To light a under his ass, so to speak?
