Kelly might just be the most trustworthy influencer. I love the skincare community on KZbin as a whole but I trust those that want to save money (even when they're swimming in promos and free PR) and understand that of their audience too. So excited to be diving into KBeauty, you mke it so easy to understand and are thorough in your explanations!

I know this is an old comment but I wanted to say welcome to the skin care community 🙂 I hope you’ve been enjoying it. I feel like Asian skincare has the kind of products you’re actually excited to use twice a day. Especially when someone really gets into the ingredients (as Kelly does) so you know why you need this or that. The only thing that I wish was that I had a couple more heads to try more products on 😂 I had to be on a no buy for a little over a year now (except for vit c and tretinoin) because I was having too much fun. Lol I love skincare and it was, and still is, so exciting with all these new concepts/ingredients that were not really talked about here in the states.

Here's an idea: Videos about your favorite ingredients and product recommendations with the ingredients You could do one about mugwort, green tea, snail, h. cordata (I'm having trouble finding products with this ingredient), panthenol, ceramides, centella, ginseng, and etc EDIT: I love your videos a lot btw!

While I don’t have sensitive skin, my daughter does. She can’t even look at things with acids or fragrance or her face turns red lol at the beginning it was tough to find something like that here in the states. First aid beauty was the only brand in Sephora that she could use. Since my Asian skincare obsession now I have many more options for her. Although my milk makeup cleanser and moisturizer is missing too. Those are both freaking amazing if you have normal to dry skin. I limit myself to one fragrance product in my routine. Usually my moisturizer because it goes on last. I made the mistake of buying Huxley as one of my first products and now I can’t do without it 😂 something about that fragrance that just does something good to my brain.

@@jenlauren143 right !! Then it’s menopause and that screws it all up again 😂 my face turned into these bright red boils of all sizes then they’d pop but stick around forever. Welcome rosacea. I had no idea what the hell was happening!!! I get like two pimples a year. my whole life my skin was crystal clear. Thank the dear lord it went away. I was like “how do people exfoliate without chemicals ?? What do you mean that’s bad for rosacea?? “. Honestly I could put sulphuric acid on my skin and get no reaction prior to this. I was panicking for sure. So just a forewarning when you get there 🤣

Not only do I get good info. from you but I feel I get it from them as well. I also like how involved they are in asking questions and offering up suggestions for videos they would like to see and I like how you either listen to them or seem to read OUR mind before WE even know what we want. Every purchase I made in my new skincare regime this summer was because of you and I am so pleased with the results! Not only that, but it's so pleasurable to use the products and "get to know" my skin better than I ever have! You and your crew are amazing! I am proud to be a part of it. THANK YOU EVERYONE!! 🥰🥰🥰

One of my favourite cica creams and my absolute favourite moisturizer, which happens to be under $20, is the Skin&Lab Medicica Calming cream. It's great for daytime use and holds onto moisture without getting sticky or too occlusive. It fragrance and essential oil free and just absolutely brilliant for acne prone senstive skin.
@KellyDriscoll4 жыл бұрын
I just got that one, excited to see what it can do!
@hannal55124 жыл бұрын
Must try that and the one Kelly recommended. I’m still trying to find my holy grail cica cream. So far tried the soon jung cica cream and the night pack. They are ok. Today finally received the cosrx 7 x cica cream with 7 different centella derivatives. Excited to see what that does. For me, nothing soothes my reactive skin quicker or better than the laroche-posay cica baume b5. It immediately stops the burning sensation and takes away all the redness. It’s extremely thick and occlusive, though.

Your content is so thorough and analytic, and you have so much more to offer than your personal experience of these products, unlike most KZbinrs. Kelly, I would like to ask one question about an ingredient that I don't remember ever seeing in Korean skincare: DMAE. I have been looking for a fragrance-free (EO-free) product with DMAE but I haven't been able to find any. I suppose this ingredient is not used in Asian skincare at all, or is it?
@sari54944 жыл бұрын
@C Mulvenna Oh my, I checked this out and it really seems like a great product! And it's not even expensive! 😳 I was sure that it would be out of my budget. Thank you so much❣️
@sari54944 жыл бұрын
@C Mulvenna Haha, I know! I have so many products in my stash already, and I'm currently using another DMAE serum, by Derma E, but even though I love DMAE as an ingredient, the smell of lavender oil in this product makes me cringe every time. Such an unnecessary hazard 🙄 The ingredients in the Stratia serum seem outstanding. I want it so bad but I have to study my options to get it in the EU. Thank you for helping me. I have completely overlooked Stratia, because I believed it to be an expensive brand, in the same league with Drunk Elephant! But it's not and they seem to have many other interesting products, as well!
@sari54944 жыл бұрын
@C Mulvenna Liquid Gold seems so comfortable, too! It has many of my favorite ingredients. I've started using tretinoin almost a year ago, and before that I used one tube of Differin. My skin accepted both of them much better than any retinol product I have tried earlier, so I'm not looking for retinol creams anymore. Fortify seems like a nice soothing winter product 😊

Hi Kelly I'm having really good luck with a newer brand I found Aqulabo - the Kombucha toner, vinyasa serum (high percentage of lotus) and sheet mask have been really pleasant to use. The whole line is fragrance free and affordable with minimal packaging and decent sizes. I noticed J Kossume has a new ceramide cream out (not so affordable lets be honest) and I may splurge to try it out whilst it;s on introductory offer. I like the other products in the line, but their moisturiser was too lightweight for my dry skin. Iunik's beta glucan serum is an affordable alternative to the J Kossume serum - I like both, but the J Kossume has a more elegant texture. I like the Benton fermentation eye cream and it's very cost effective for the size of the tube and the ingredients within. It's a great texture for my dry/mature skin and a tube lasts months even used liberally. The Pyunkang Yul toner/essence is a great budget buy and should suit most people whatever skin condition they have. It's very sensitive skin friendly and was one of my first K beauty buys. From there I have tried quite a few products - most of which i've been really happy with. Best wishes.
