Supernatural was my buffy growing up and I love it getting mentioned here. The earlier seasons have some genuinely terrifying episodes (the one that scared me when I was younger was the bloody mary one.) It isn't a perfect show by any means but I look back on it fondly and I genuinely love it with all my heart. Thanks Yutaka for showing it some love

Buffy, is now and will forever be my most Favorite thing ever! There are so many series that I get into for S1-S3 (True Blood, Angel, Walking Dead, American Horror Story, Teen Wolf). Lots of shows just loose me at S4. Supernatural had me until about S8, but I'd tune in casually. As a kid, I used to watch the Outer Limits (the 90s version). Some of those episodes were so creepy and left a lingering feeling of unease well after the episode ended.

I highly recommend Penny Dreadful to you guys. It's a mix of supernatural horror and drama set in Victorian London and follows many characters known from gothic literature, such as: Dracula, Dorian Gray (who's delicious, if I may say so), The Wolf Man, Dr. Jekyll, Van Helsing, Frankenstein, etc. Eva Green absolutely kills it in the main role!

Omg i swear i thought i was the only one watching the alfred hitchcock hour/presents. Im glad its on peacock! Ive watched both series and i totally remember that episode. I just love how dramatic it is! The twilight zone definitely has heavy hitters when it comes to creepy episodes. Especially that episode Number 12 Looks Just like You where when you hit a certain age everyone has to get a surgery to look like 3-4 options of people to look like. And you got everyone looking like each other and its creepy. Im definitely gonna check out the other suggestions that were mentioned bc yall always on point!

I always recommend Friday the13 the tv series. It is unrelated to you know who and is about cousins trying to retrieve cursed antiques they accidentally sold. Every antique grants the user a power if they kill someone. For instance, there's a glove that transfers injuries between people, a scalpel that can perform successful surgeries if the surgeon kills someone with it first, a wood chipper that takes in bodies and spits out money, etc. It's 3 seasons and about 20 episodes per season. It's very 80's, dark and gory, though it still tries to end on a laugh and a freeze frame occasionally. There are so many wild deaths each episode. I don't know how some of that even made it to tv.

Loved, Loved, LOVED this episode! One of my favorite yet! The picks were fabulous (True Blood, Hitchcock, Lovecraft Country?? LOVE ❤️), the Kiki was glorious, and all of you were in fine form. But Liam, you may be my platonic soul mate…cause when you dropped that Alanis Morrisette as God, a la’ DOGMA reference, (that no one seemed to get btw 😂) I swear you stole a piece of my heart. 😂🤣 However, My favorite contributor this episode? Think this time it must go to: ELVIRA-THE ORIGINAL, OG, MISTRESS OF THE DARK 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. 😂Fabulous David, fabulous! Speaking quickly on a Jury Duty experience I had once: I was once selected for a death penalty, multiple capital murders case. Where we would have to decide between the death penalty, life in prison, or acquittal. At the time I was an essential employee working in the federal government; I had my supervisor write me a letter to be excused. Why? Cause unlike George who would probably dribble c*m if he was chosen for such a case, 😂 I did not and do not want the power to have someone executed. To end someone’s life, regardless of the crime, is a heavy thing. It was just too much if that makes sense. And the crime was BRUTAL. It’s one thing to watch make believe horror…quite another to see evidence pictures of real life horrors. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Now, with that all out of the way, returning by zero demand, here is the lucky 13, “condensed” list (promise) of my overall favorite horror/suspense shows of all time. 😉 1. TWIN PEAKS- (I could write a thesis on this show. Goes without mentioning that This will be the longest synopsis of the list. Sorry ahead of time. 😂). Undoubtedly one of the greatest shows of all time (certainly one of the most original), and my personal favorite of all time, my number one spot goes to writer/director/creator David Lynch’s mind fck fever dream that forever changed the landscape of tv from the moment it first aired in the early 90’s. Despite airing for just two seasons and ending abruptly on a cliff hanger because of the network, this landmark show defied all expectations and constraints at every turn. From the unorthodox, deeply tragic, horrifying and menacing slow burn storyline, to the cinematic, breathtaking, risk taking cinematography, shooting and direction style, to incredible writing, character depth and performances, with an iconic soundtrack straight from noir heaven, it managed to transform and expand the possibility of what tv could actually be. It was new, 💯 original, never before seen cinematic style television. All this while still giving an indelibly existential journey through the deepest recesses of terror; building upon layers of dread, sadness, slow burn tension, a wide reaching original and spectacular supernatural mythology, and a tapping into genuine, deep seeded fear and horror where nothing is what it seems, we’re all in hell with no way out, and we’re all slowly going insane. Every scripted line and every character is memorable and brilliantly written and acted. Without Peaks, I believe there would be no Lovecraft Country, no Bates Motel, no Desperate Housewives, no Stranger Things, no Hannibal, THE WAY we know them. But best of all is that some 25+ years later, prophetically meta mirroring the whisper in Coopers ear by Laura in the red room (if you know you know 😂🤷🏼‍♀️), Lynch and his writing partner and co creator of the show Mark Frost, finished the story he started decades ago with Twin Peaks:The Return; rebooting the story on Showtime, with nearly all characters returning, it was nothing short of BRILLIANT. So, yeah, the original first two seasons are old. But Despite their age, the original series holds up to this day, and is still one of the greatest pieces of storytelling you could ever watch on tv. If you’ve never seen it, take a trip through the original godfather of terrifying noir mind fck television viewing😂 2. Black Mirror: San Junipero & Fifteen Million Merits. The first hugs my soul. The second breaks it. Both are equally brilliant. 3. Carnivale: Criminally under known and under appreciated, it gets no better than this haunting and supernatural HBO period piece masterpiece; that like Twin Peaks, was gone way before it’s time. 4. Ash v. Evil Dead: It left me dead that NO ONE (Yutaka, where you at sister?? 🤷🏼‍♀️) mentioned this campy, gory, thoroughly enjoyable and groovy return to Ash and the deadites. A true love letter to us the loyal fans of the cult classic films, they did the mythology justice 💯. It may have been short lived, but it was EPIC…and it truly has a special place in my heart forever. Just thankful we ever got it at all. 5. True Blood: Liam yessssssss 👏🏼I’ve rewatched this show so many times I’ve lost count.😂I will forever die on the hill that Lafayette Reynolds is one of the greatest characters ever on tv. RIP Nelsan ☹️😢 6. Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell: Such a fun ride. Love this Adult Swim mini show. ❤️ 7. Penny Dreadful: One word- BRILLIANT 9. The Original Twilight Zone: It’s a classic for a reason. And let’s face it, we all know that Eye Of The Beholder episode. 10. Chanel Zero: Bring on ALL the grotesque and bizarre, I want it ALL! 😂 11. Servant: M. Night’s best offering since The Village IMO. 🤷🏼‍♀️atmosphere, Atmosphere, ATMOSPHERE. 12. Hannibal: Delicious horror tv 🤤 😋😂 + the sexual tension is tuned to 11. 👍🏼 13. TIE! -Bates Motel: So incredible I’ve rewatched it 4 complete times now. The atmosphere, set and performances are STELLAR. - Jamestown: This British created and produced horror isn’t what you think…it’s much more twisted, evil, brutal and original than it’s title would ever suggest. And I’m ALWAYS here for that. 😂 Honorable Mentions: NAS4R2, Tales From The Dark Side, Interview With The Vampire, Yellowjackets & Santa Clarita Diet (I SEE YOU LIAM ✊🏼 👏🏼), Tales From The Crypt…Buffy, AHS, not withstanding. 😂👏🏼 Sending love and the warmest lesbian wishes from little old Delaware, USA Rebecca & Val

Hemlock Grove and Crazyhead, both on Netflix, are great horror shows. HG has Bill Skarsgard and Femke Janssen, and it follows Bill (a vampire) and another male character (a werewolf) who get together to try to solve a string of murders that happen throughout the town. Crazyhead is sorta like Buffy, except there's only two folks fighting demons and junk. There's really no long summary needed lol. It's just Buffy that leans more into comedy a bit, but not too much that it takes away from the horror elements.

My mom is a HUGE Stephen King fan so I have to mention Castle Rock and The Stand. Castle Rock is an anthology like AHS, and The Stand is just insane post-apocalyptic fuckery. Love that George gave a shout-out to Dead Set, such a great show from that era similar to Harper's Island which kinda got archived for a long time before it reappeared on streaming, probably because it had a limited run and wasn't an ongoing series so over time people just forgot about it. But bitch I remember being in school at the time and everyone who was allowed to watch it (I was 11 but my parents didn't care what I watched) it was all anyone talked about for ages, truly a cultural reset. Dead Set walked so Black Mirror could run 😂

My favorite X-Files episode is from season 7 episode 12. No joke is a crossover with the show COPS. It's found footage, like the show. The creature of this episode and what it can do is one of the scariest ideas I've seen in anything horror.

this was so much fun. Buffy is my fave. The way I get mad during that last season, because how are these people disrespecting the one person who can protect them? Also David Boreanaz is so fiiiine, steps up his game as Angelus. It's time for a rewatch of Buffy and Angel, but Angel did kinda lose me once Conner came along.

I feel like I’m the only person who watches Servant on Apple TV. It’s a psychological horror show. M. Night is one of the creators of it so I was very skeptical when I first started watching but the 1st episode hooked me. I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I do but it’s fantastic. Great cast and their performances are great as well. I highly recommend at least watching episode 1 cause there’s something that happens that shocked me but also intrigued me. The story is incredibly gripping. It might be my favorite thing M. Night has made which isn’t saying a lot but still. Definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already.

I recommend two series the fist one is ''Goedam'', a korean anthology of short horror films and every episode is 5-10 minutes long, the series is short and is centred around urban legends, the difference arises when you have no introduction provided for the urban legend being told. The second one is ''Girl from Nowhere: The Series'', is from Thailand and have 13 episodes, i only watched the first season and i was OBSESED with the plot twists and how Nanno (main character) bring people's darkside out.

George bringing up the zombie big brother show gave me a flashback to when I was younger and wanted to see what was on the syfy channel bc that’s where you usually watched horror movies, and there was this ‘game show’ on called 13: Fear Is Real, and it’s basically survivor meets Friday the 13th. And the contestants go up against each other and whoever doesn’t win in time ‘gets killed’ giiiiiirlll let me tell you something.. I GENUINELY THOUGHT THEY WERE DYING IN THAT SHOW I WAS TRAUMATIZED. also yutaka im curious, is slasher: flesh and blood okay to watch itself or would you have to watch the previous 3 seasons

A while back Michele (American Mum) and I watched Dead Set with George and I enjoyed every minute of it. I've suggested it to a few people. It's a really fun one. But i can't seem to find it anywhere here. Living for all the Buffyverse talk. I'm thrilled that David is watching it. George needs to get on that. I know he'll love it. On my channel, my sister Belinda is watching Buffy for the first time and introducing her to this show has been one of the greatest joys of my life! Buffy is my favorite show of all time bcs I've never had more fun watching a series. I also agree that Angel is just as good. It's more grown up than Buffy a bit darker and heavier, and season 5 is my absoulte fave of the whole series. It's just fucking beautifull! Yutaka, I know exactly what Angel ep you're talking about in S5 and I agree it's one of the best, most fun episodes of the entire sereis. They really went full camp on that one & I was living! I could talk Buffy forever so I'll just say I will def take some of these suggestions and have a nice binge soon! PS Shut up and Dance still disturbs me to this day.

The scoobynatural crossover was my favorite episode out of all the seasons it’s just so much fun and hilarious how they had a mental breakdown when they find out the supernatural is real.
