Don't know what was in Liam's wine but I want it! My recommendations is : Them (2006, original title: Ils) It's a French- Romanian movie about a home invasion and this is the only thing I can say! 😈 Perfect Blue - Amazing psychological thriller! And honestly I think a lot of American productions with this theme took a lot of inspiration from that movie. PS: Recently watched Eden Lake because of you guys and that movie ...... I WAS GAGGED! Swear to god my mouth dropped open for a long time after I finished to process that.

I recommend two of Guillermo del Toro's movies, made before he started making English-language films: "Cronos" and "El espinazo del diablo" ( "The Devil's Backbone"). " Cronos" is a vampire film set in Mexico, and "El espinazo del diablo" is a ghost story that takes place during the beginning of the Franco regime in Spain, just before World War II. It gives some "The Sixth Sense" vibes, but with more action scenes.

I'm taking this opportunity to once again say that NO ONE should watch 'Salo or the 120 of sodom' . Ever. It's the only film I've ever seen that made me puke. Twice. And that wasn't because of gore but because of the psychological stress it put me through. There's a lot of rape and sexual torture. And most of the screen time extreme fetisches are either talked about or demonstrated. It has no point, it has nothing to say (even though it thinks it does) and all it manages to do is to further collapse in on itself. It's also not a horror film. It's rape and torture porn. I have also read the book it's loosely based on and while said book is less scarring, it isn't less depraved. Relatively early into it the narrator states that there surely has to be no greater ecstasy in life than the rush of joy you get while killing the person you're fucking into and feeling the life leave them while you orgasm. And it only gets worse from there. There's a reason we chose to coin the term sadism after the author of this book (marquis de sade). So don't do it. Just zon't.

hmm Train to Busan is horror, but Old Boy?!? idk - if u think that's horror, then why not mention I Saw the Devil - which isn't just brutal, but horrific in it's brutality?!? and The Host was more horror light (sci fi), and think any list without The Wailing is lacking - but that's just me 🤷‍♀ heck the Thai, THE MEDIUM is freaky and good(!)... got a ton more movies that makes me wonder how self professed horror lovers haven't mentioned those, as think a few on ur list weren't that scary, but never mind... guess this channel is more about the comradery which is cool too 👍

The Wailing is really good, but Old Boy really isn't horror. However, it's a fantastic foreign film that folks should see. The twist in the end is pure horror.

George being dragged through filth whenever he’s absent- I live everytime. some other good foreign horror that I recommend, firstly, is called saló… no I’m jk pls don’t ever watch that movie I’m so serious. my actual recommendations would be first, a tale of two sisters, if I stand correctly it’s basically the foreign version of the uninvited and it’s so freaking good and gets me everytime. another one is high tension, a nasty mind fuck of a movie, and last but not least, my ALL time favorite, suspiria (the original ofc). hope you guys had an amazing Halloween!! 🤍🤍

What a tiny list, representing an obnoxiously small period of time. Horror Existed Before _Scream._ Most of the greatest horror films were made before _Scream 2._ Yet, somehow... not a single film here before 1997 (the year of the original _Funny Games_ movie). Not a single Argento anywhere on the list = _Suspiria, Tenebre, Deep Red, Inferno, Opera, Phenomena_ = HELLO?! Dario Argento is still alive today and is maybe The Greatest Horror Director of All-Time. All 6 of ^those films are masterpieces. All British films would count = _The Wicker Man_ (1973, not the Nic Cage one), _28 Days Later, Don't Look Now, Theater of Blood, The Vault of Horror, The Lair of the White Worm, The Company of Wolves, Asylum_ (1972), the 2 _Dr. Phibes_ films, _The Legacy_ (Sam Elliott, Katharine Ross are both American but the rest of the film is All-British), all the Christopher Lee _Dracula_ movies, and the original _Hellraiser_ was British. (Set in England, written in England, British cast & crew except for Ashley Laurence.) I've only seen 2 African horror films but they were amazing - _Hardware_ and _Dust Devil._ Or Mario Bava??? = _Kill Baby Kill, Bay of Blood, Lisa and the Devil, Hatchet for the Honeymoon, Baron Blood, Shock_ (1977), _Whip & The Body_ (it's great, trust me), _Five Dolls for an August Moon_ (chic resort private island body count murder mystery with bloody dancing and wild late-60's fashions) NO classic Japanese or Asian horror? _House_ (1977), _Godzilla, Kwaidan, Kuroneko, Onibaba, Jigoku,_ NONE??? No pre _Lord of the Rings_ Peter Jackson (from New Zealand)??? = _Dead Alive_ / _Braindead_ is freaking LEGENDARY! And his 1987 film, _Bad Taste_ is incredible as well. No German Silent film classics? _Nosferatu_ or _The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari_ ??? Or 1932's _Vampyr_ (the director is from Denmark but the financing was likely German). No gore-splattered Italian or Spanish zombie, demon epics? No _Cemetery Man_ (1994)? No _Tombs of the Blind Dead, Demons_ - or _Demons 2_ (I like it better than the original) - no _Living Dead at Manchester Morgue,_ no Lucio Fulci's _Zombie_ (1979), _The Beyond, City of the Living Dead_ / _The Gates of Hell,_ _The House by the Cemetery_ ? No 1989's _The Church_ (I didn't like it but everyone else is in love with it)?? NO _Stage Fright_ / aka: _Aquarius_ (1987)?? Canadian Horror? Cronenberg is a Legend for a reason: _Videodrome, The Brood, Rabid_ (1977), _Scanners, Shivers_ / aka: _They Came from Within_ ? _Ginger Snaps, Curtains,_ the original _Prom Night_ or the underrated sequel _Hello, Mary Lou: Prom Night II_ ? Bob Clark's literal masterpieces _Deathdream_ and _Black Christmas_ ? The virtually un-talked about _Deranged_ (1973) or _Happy Birthday to Me_ ??? This video is eyeroll material. Though, _Audition_ is one of the greatest horror films. So, you did good once. Hooray. (That's sarcasm.)

So we did have limited time, and we talked about ones we enjoyed. I have seen the Argento films, and I love them dearly. Some of the ones you listed, I haven't seen. I will put those on the list. Tenebrae has some of the best kills and soundtrack. We clearly missed the mark on that. Thanks for the feedback.
