FCD Octo Surfboard

Watch as Cyrus from FCD walks you through the Octo, our most fully shaped shortboard. The Octo is a high-performance shortboard. Working with Dan Malloy and Jeff Johnson, weve designed a superfast, loose, easy paddling board that handles a large variety of surf from 2-foot mush to double overhead. The Octo is designed to be surfed with a wide, aggressive stance. Lots of single concave allows the board to quickly get up on a plane and turn easily. We found that we could minimize rocker without hindering performance because of the extra speed and early entry. The Octo actually picks up speed through cutbacks and top turns. Though its meant for back-footed surfers, any intermediate to expert surfer can adapt to it.
