Solid advice. I feel not enough people give sound the attention it deserves/needs.

Steve, I notice how much you are able to do with the tools inherent to FCP. Do you see a real role for purchasing a really advanced plug in like Izotop RX for FCP if you are not really a high end pro??
@rippleguys5 жыл бұрын
I'm a big fan of using the tools that are available in FCPX. The reason they are not used, is that in my experience, folks don't understand them and/or are unwilling to put the time in to learn them. Plugin companies create expensive audio "fixit" plugins, because of this. I have izotope, and I rarely use it, aside from the occasional need to remove reverb from a recording.

Ripple Training thank you Steve! That is really good advice, I feel. I have actually thought the very same thing. It’s like if you understand EQ carving and how to use the limiter along with Channel EQ (which I am happy to say I now know how to do because of the excellent tutorials I’ve purchased from Ripple Training) - then these expensive plugs ins are just fluff. Happy and Healthy New Year to you and your family. Scott A. Berger, M.D.

very nice trick, thank you. i have a question, i use the sennheiser lavelier microphone mono, so its only on the left speaker in final cut. if i put the footage in finalcut its sometimes got an echo, and if i put "Dual mono" to have the sound on both side, the echo will dramatic increase some one else got this problem? the original footage doesnt got echo at all. only in final cut and after render it it still there

Is this inside the "Sound Editing in Final cut Pro 10.4" Tutorial on your site? I purchased it and color correction. Focusing on the color correction tutorial at the moment so I haven't got very far on the Sound editing tutorial. I did skim through it though and I didn't remember seeing this part.

Not related to this specific tutorial, should sharpening be applied before or after color correction and color grading? Thanks very much!
