watched pete martin and william lake on that show "the bravest" which was filmed right before the attacks... sad to see the vids of them knowing what has already unfolded but good that their family has a really nice reminder of their loved ones on film

Ray Downey who perished after 2nd collapse of WTC. After 1st collapse he continued to operate and command in the area. He was down near the Marriott Hotel walking towards the north tower to look for survivors when he died. Rest In Peace to all our members. Sometimes it feels like another lifetime, other times it feels like yesterday.

No bunker pants, 30 minute cylinders, no PSS. Guys back in the day could move around a lot more easily.

Agree but a lot more injuries back then vs today’s gear and added protection.

And we should honor them because they gave there lives to save lives for others most of them new it was there last day on earth
@dv1267 Жыл бұрын
@Adam Not sure many knew it was there last day on earth. I’ve watched a lot of interviews with guys and a few said they knew it was going to be one hell of job that would require extensive operations with civilian casualties and they are the FDNY and would get it done. Not arguing just wondering what gave you that thought. Maybe it’s something I missed along the way. Thanks-
