There is something quite amusing about the game stating "Your dark descent is just in its beginning steps..." as you're about 30 seconds from leaving the dungeon

Pretty interesting speedrun, I didn't know you could finish the game this fast. Also pretty weird the enemy with three legs in the credits.

How about D'arce with leg sweep? Wouldn't that be faster?

Maybe but this is a glitchless run. You can’t use the leg sweeping door glitch

even if leg sweeping doors was allowed in glitchless i still think d'arce killing the priests to get the soul stone and talisman for leg sweep would be slower than just going through the thicket. if you were able to get an empty scroll or scroll of the long sword then it may be a bit faster but you'd be able to do that as any character. being cahara also allows you to have escape plan making engaging and escaping the elite guard in lvl 7 safer

Killing the priests and using hexen is slower. Leg sweeping doors was allowed in glitchless at first and that was the strat used in this category. If I remember correctly fastest time with that strat was a bit under 4 minutes. Not sure how fast it would be with random scroll drop. Never tried it and nowadays it's not allowed anyway so pointless to test.
