I don't know if you remember me. You wrote me the kindest note back. I have been wondering how you're doing. I just went yesterday and had the bone ridges leveled out. In 3 weeks, I go for impressions. I still have my front teeth. Then, I go back and get my temporary ones and he will be pulling the front that day. As you know, I'm a widow and if I was in my late seventies or eighties then, I could make sense of this. But, I'm far from it and I know you were very young when you started. I came home yesterday and I was alone. He had to nip off quite a bit of bone before he sewed the gums shut. You know, my heart hurts more than my mouth. After losing my best friend, my siblings just dumped me. Anyway, they were all right behind my house in the house I grew up in for my dad's birthday. They know I'm going through this and they don't care. They offered to bring me a piece of cake only because, when they got there I was talking to my dad on the phone. That was to show him how caring they are toward me. My sister is a dental hygienist and I asked her a question and instead of any warmth, I just got one word which was, no. So, this is a journey for me alone. I have faith that carries me through. But, my heart is broken. Is there anything I should tell the man who is making the impressions? I want to tell him to make sure that he leaves a lot of room for the piece of skin on top so it doesn't get cut. I also want to make sure that somehow the teeth don't look like square blocks. I wish I had a friend to talk to about this but, I do have you to watch your videos. I feel like crying all the time. Anyway, is there a suggestion for the color I should have for the immediate dentures? I was thinking the whitest shade of natural teeth. What do you think about that? I have 3 weeks before the impressions are made as by then, the stitches will have dissolved and the ridge problem will have been solved. I have zero expectation. The only silver lining is that I feel healthier now that I don't have bacteria beneath the gum line. I know I'm going on and on. Believe it or not, I've been afraid of this since I was a little girl. But, I made it through my husband dying in front of me. I made it through being completely alone 98% of the time for 4 and a half years. I don't ever turn on the TV. If there's any positive things you could say or anything that you think would be helpful, I would appreciate it. I know you have no idea how beautiful you are. And, I know your beauty comes from your inside and flows outward. I hope you've been doing well. Sincerely, Carly 🩷🌷

I had all of mine pulled in February. At low income dental clinic. Look online and see if there is anything near you. So they can pull your teeth. They charge based on income. You probably will ask since I have teeth in my picture. Those are not my teeth they are $40 I bought on Amazon. When I still had most of my teeth. Places like the one I went too. Don’t do or give dentures. So I wear face masks when I go places. Eating is easier because my teeth hurt so much. When I chewed. Waiting is not good idea. The infection will spread as it did in my case. To bone in my jaw. Pieces of it along with the teeth were removed. While I was awake just numb. Please Please get them pulled. The most important thing is your life. Teeth can be replaced your life is is irreplaceable. I hope you feel better soon .

My e-day was two weeks ago. However the clinic I did extractions turned me down. They made first impressions wrong and made non fitting me at all dentures sets. After tried to redo impressions next day after surgery and of course it did not go well either. And just because of those videos I was able to find the right clinic “asap dental care” and after being with no teeth for two weeks I finally will get my dentures in two weeks. And yes, the choice of clinic is based on many videos Kalin did with them and also Ivoclar technology. Thank you so much Kalin. The moral of the story - try to find a good dentists and never give up, even if you need to survive two weeks with no teeth in the mouth at all. My personal huge thank you to you, Kalin. We have been talking a lot about you today with asap doctors.

I'm so happy I found you, you are a God send! I started losing my teeth at least 10 yrs ago. It was a slow process, I'd lose 1, then every couple yrs, another one, etc. I was lucky as I wouldn't be in pain, but, after the years went by (& then the pandemic hit), i knew I'd eventually have to do something, but i kept dealing with it & put it off. Well, a couple months ago, I FINALLY started the process! I'm 4 days in of getting my full set & honestly, I didn't feel the feeling I thought I'd feel! They look great, BUT, not only does it feel like there's 1,000 teeth in there, i have some pain. I'm cleaning/rinsing as needed, I'm using warm salt water & am giving it about a week before I go back to my dentist. Watching you & reading the comments is going to help me. I've been emotionally all over the place. After my extractions, I had to wait a month before I finally got my new teeth. I was depressed, I let myself go, I was able to work from home, which I'm grateful for, and I'm going back into the office tomorrow. So, today, I got a long overdue haircut & I'm dealing with the discomfort and I'm actually looking forward to being around people again! After finding you, i don't feel so alone in this & I look forward to learning more about this 'journey', with that said, THANK YOU! (sorry for the long post!)

I’m so sorry! I know how bad it can be in the beginning. And scary. I’ve spoken with people that were never scared or apprehensive but it’s rare. I was terrified. I have health anxiety and any health conditions or medical procedures send me into panic attacks at times. So my baseline for fear is way below average. But the procedure and transition could not have gone better. It was nowhere near how bad I thought it would be. In fact, I look back fondly on that time of my life. It was exciting. I hope you find some peace and get the treatment you need and deserve. You’re stronger than you think you are.

On the first of next month I’m going have all my top teeth removed, hopefully six implants placed and a temporary bridge fitted. To say I’m nervous is such an understatement. I had a back tooth pulled and the dentist accidentally snapped the bridge off in front, he snapped the teeth so I was faced with having another denture on the top or having nothing back there. For the past two years I have been going between all the options but I knew results for my treatment are going to be so much better than what I have. I’m just going to be very brave and trust in the dental staff to take care of me, my worry is they can’t give me a temporary fixed bridge and I have denture hence why I am watching your video, over the two years I have slowly worked my way through your back catalog. Thank you for all the help, guidance and support you have provided it has given me real piece of mind. Doris from Scotland xx

One year after full mouth extractions, perm dentures won't stay in without adhesive. Fixodent with the gold lock is awesome and works on my uppers. My lowers, no matter what I do when I take my first bite of anything they loosen and lift. Lowers will always be an issue. I will never eat like I used to and that is the reality for me atleast. I can't regret my decision because pain and sensitivity is worse than a soft diet, adhesive and loose lowers. It is what it is, if you can afford and have good bone left, go for the implants!!!!

while I appreciate the "don't be scared" part of things... for some of us it really IS about the money. I can't get a loan, can't get carecredit, and there is NO public health option that does dental in my area. I've just been having to go into my public health doc or the emergency room as the abcesses get worse and antibiotics won't quick fix forever when I can't get the teeth out. maybe that'll change after the move I'm trying to pull off to a different state, but that's through outside help, sheerly given so I don't wind up homeless for the second time in a year. people don't realize how big a help it is to have some kind of safety net, that parent that will let you move back in for a little while or a sibling or friend that will drive you to work when your car breaks down. getting any little break in life is a miracle I'm grateful for at this point.

Google low income dental care. The state and town you live in. That is what I did. They pulled all my teeth in February. They charged based on income. Try calling your County Health Department. Sometimes they have dental clinics they also charge based on income. You will need check stub before your appointment. Unfortunately I waited too long. The infection had spread to bone in my jaw. They removed it along with the teeth. Dentures they don’t give or do at all. I obviously knew this before. I had them pulled. I bought bunch of face masks in February. So no one knows my teeth are gone. Eating has improved my teeth hurt and would break every time I chewed. So I don’t have that problem anymore. I looked online at solid foods I could eat without teeth. I had enchiladas A month after my teeth were pulled. Just small bites and eat slowly. The most important thing is your life. Your teeth can be replaced the people who love and need you. Have no way to replace you and your love for them . Please Please get it taken care of.

Oh wow. I needed this. Thank you. My nightmare started 2020, right at the beginning of the Pandemic and its been such a very very long lonely 4 years. My beginning is an opposite. When it came time for me to do dentures, I wasn’t scared at all, I am a bit older, I just wanted teeth, and move on. I didn’t research, I’m was, like being realistic, I’m 64, piece a cake. Millions wear dentures. Wrong….It’s been bad, after going from Prosthodonitis to Prosthodonitis, 4 years of “trying to find solutions for my dentures to fit” , “oh they are going to fit like a glove!” They never did, agony, frustration, sadness, hopelessness, and then hope, back to hopelessness. It’s definitely a whirlwind. I’m scheduled for the Zyomatics implants the first of Feb. yep, it’s just around the corner, and I’ve paid. Anyways, three weeks ago, I was given a new denture, doc said this is a temporary, getting us ready for the surgery. Hold on, everyone, here’s the kicker….. these dentures are the best fitting ones I’ve ever had. Move forward with procedure? I’m conflicted. I thoroughly enjoy all your videos.

I found low income dental clinic that charges based on income. You call your county health Department see if they have dental clinic. They charge based on income. Get dentures online that pre made. In 12 to 15 months. I will have dentures $320. Still very expensive but more affordable. Letting the infection spread. Is not good through personal experience. I don't recommend you leave untreated. In my case it only spread to the bone in my jaw. If it would spread to my heart or brain. I wouldn't be alive to type this. Please get it taken care of.

When I first heard I needed partials I was horrified. I am very sick with a lung disease where I take steroids and Bisphosphonates so implants are not an option due to medical reasons. I've only had to have 7 removed but, they had to grind down my jaw bone after every single extraction - as you can imagine it wasn't fun at all. Only 3 left to come out now and I'm more positive about the partials.

Hi Kalinjax, I saw one of your videos two years ago about dentures and implants and even though I cannot afford implants, I saw your review about dentures and what to expect and you gave great advice so I can relate to it, because so many others did not give a straightforward answer that I would have wanted to know. I am obviously worried that my jawline will not be the same, but you mentioned things like ovderdentures to cover the shape of your face. My dentist i just saw today recommended I pull my teeth out and I knew I would get there eventually, but he seemed serious about saving my bottom teeth canines. When you mentioned that having any real teeth left over can minimalize bone loss because it stimulates the area around it, I thought maybe it wouldnt be so bad. The reason I could not get the answers I really wanted is because I wanted to speak to someone who had dentures for ten, twenty years, not just one or two. Looking at case hy case, each person is different. some look like they're aging faster than others. Others look even better than with their problematic teeth around. It's about long-term that I want to think about here. I honesly wanted to have at least the bottom arch have dental implants instead of dentures so that I can keep the bone loss at a minimum for the jawline but I will be seeing the orthodontist (if thats the right terminology) probably next week. I still want to keep my teeth for the jaw structure but happy to get rid of them for that bright smile appearance. Thanks for your videos, Kalinjax! Seeing you do this for a while and looking back helps me to understand what steps I need to leap forward and if I am ready to take that step knowing there might be terrible scenarios that could happen if I do decide after post-surgery. Cheers! 😢😅☺️

a big problem for me is that my dentist is not allowed to extract all my teeth, I have some healthy ones and the law here in our country says that the dentist can lose his license if he extracts "healthy" teeth, " IT`S MY TEETH GRRR" so now he has to put put in implants where I'm missing teeth and correct the teeth that I have left, he will pull out 3 teeth in a week, and then put 12 implants where there are missing teeth, it will take about 10 months before everything is finished, so everything was Far more expensive

Im 46, had to have all my teeth removed in sections cause they couldn't sedate me. I got my first set of dentures 4 months after the last section was pulled. They don't fit. They're huge! The teeth are bigger than mine were. I feel luck Mr. Ed. They move around everywhere, my lips don't even close properly, I can barely open my mouth to get food in and can't chew with them. I can't eat with them in. I don't go anywhere cause it's embarrassing without teeth. I'm so young but look old. My teeth spend more time in the box than in my mouth. I have to wait for insurance to cover another set and hopefully the next set fits right. I don't have money for implants so I don't know what else to do.

I'm a 55 year old male. A few years back I was attacked by 2 unknown males and pretty much left for dead. I had to have reconstructive surgery on my face and of course my teeth upper and lower was kicked in to the point they were laying against my tongue. Still somewhat attached the doctor sticks his hand into my mouth and pulls them back forward and wraps them with a thick wire and tells me hopefully they won't fall out anytime soon but eventually they will and unfortunately did. So about a year and a half ago I have the remaining loose braking off teeth pulled because of having dental covid insurance. I've been so depressed and very lonely since I had the extractions done. I don't have dental insurance now but I just can't stand looking the way I do so I wanted to ask for help. I don't have much money so I can't afford implants although I wished I could. So I'll settle for dentures but I want them to look as real as possible. So do you know where I should go that does good work and is somewhat affordable? I know you might laugh at this but really all I can afford would be 2000 to 2500 and that will put me back in the poor house. I want to smile again I want to hold the hand of a woman again but I can't even look most people in the eyes do to being ashamed. People talk about me behind my back saying things like he must've been a drug addict because my teeth are missing and it hurts everytime. Please any help is appreciated

This is nerve-wracking! I'm also in a position where I'm afraid my front teeth are going to go soon.. maybe not in the next year but certainly before I'm 40. I have nightmares about my teeth falling out and breaking away. For a while it actually kept me messing with them as if much would disturb them.. so I would do kind of the most superficial cleaning with a water pick.. it sounds counterintuitive to be sure but yeah. My grandmother had all of her teeth pulled when she was younger than me. I honestly would have never known she had dentures except for the fact that she took them out ever night. I could have even swore I heard her grinding her teeth in bed lol But Ive gotten my back molars removed on bottom and they told I had bone loss in all the front lower teeth. When I was nine I had had a skin graft to repair the gums - and like many my family did not appreciate the importance of a good diet and preventative care especially with so many issues already. My enamel fell off of my one of my baby teeth, not eroded away - it came off in a full section. Now on my permanent it's worn so that my teeth are staining and im watching my gums recede. I have plenty of friends who have had dental work and they weren't rich by any means. I do really worried about having to "settle" when it comes to dental work though but hearing everyone talk is reassuring and helpful. I appreciate the group of people who have ended up here in this discussion... It's really not going to help to keep ignoring it

I was shocked that this happened because I got the most expensive ones which I was told that they were the strongest one out there, like the ones you have. Having said that, now I have to go back and get my arch all over again. Just when I thought I was over with this nightmare. Wish me luck.

Google low income dental care the town you live in. There should be clinics to call that charge based on income. If that doesn't work Google your County health Department. Some have dental clinics that charge based on income. If they don't ask them if they know where you can go to get the teeth pulled. That what I did and my bad teeth are getting pulled Tuesday. Keep trying until you find someone to help you.

So cool to find this. I got my full extraction done on the 23rd of January. Im 31. Always had bad teeth. Horrible. When i moved in with my wife and all that (we got married after only about 3 months. How she married those teeth. No clue. I literally. It came from bullying i had crooked teeth. We grew up pretty poor. My dad worked his hands to bone to provide for. We always had a roof. Food and power and stuff but dental stuff just was not viable. So i never brushed. So imagine all that time. My wife felt horrible. Because id be up in just when i say pain. I mean. You have no idea the just knee buckling pain no amount of over the counter shit couldnt heal. Infections were constant. I was so afraid. My wife really is my backbone through this she was with me every step if the way rooting for me. My surgery. Was. A suprise lol. I wasnt aware i was gonna be more or less just really high and numb but also very awake lmao. But i was shocked. The surgeon was done in 45 minutes. Lots of bleeding. Not a lot of pain. I only used my pain meds they perscribed maybe twice? And that was just soreness and mainly in the first few days after. From my mouth being awkward with all the gauze and just ya know. Ya mouth feels weird its empty lmao. If anyone is young like me and worried about anything. I can actually look at myself in the mirror now. I havent resorted to alcohol to feel like comfortable. Im not in constant pain. And i can actually eat more things toothless than i could with my beyond failing teeth. I feel overall healthier. After two weeks i had my post exam with the dentist and was stoked when he said i was healing beautifully but kinda bummed when he said i wasnt ready for dentures yet. So 23rd this month i go in to take care of the denture finally! Im really excited. I get what your saying though. I think people do that with anything though. Im just stoked for the little things that seem so normal to others. Like i didnt get to smile in my wedding photos or being able to laugh in public. Finally swallowing my fears turning and facing what i was afraid of. I feel like a whole new person. And now that i have an appetite again. I mean im 6'1 and i was at about 125lbs. I. Not just in a month at 140lbs. My wife is always telling family how funny it is i eat like a linebacker lmao thanks for sharing your journey and giving out some tips. Our sleep schedule is all messed up so ive gone deep dive once i found your videos. Now my wife is tring to reign in my sweet food habbit lmao as soon as i tried sweets for the first time without dropping to my knees in pain after. I cant put them down lmao its a problem. Any youngins like me dont be afraid! But this video is important as well. Its not the cure all. Its just a major step in your self improvement

Too many fears, not even about having pain! I’m scared of them not fitting well, teeth or gums looking too large, too white just fake. Scared of not being able to eat or talk. I got my dentures about 6 months ago after thousands of dollars in root canals and repairs and the only thing I was told was no more corn on the cob. Seems I can't eat much of anything now. It hurts to try and bite off anything. The dentures just push up into the soft tissue when I try to bite of a sandwich. Then there's everything that gets under them like seasonings, stems, etc. Let's face it teeth grind things up and whatever I grind up, at least for me, ends up under the dentures making me miserable. I never saw this coming. I was thinking finally the nightmare was ending but it's just a new more expensive nightmare. No one ever told me that everything was going to be a problem. They won't stay in place past one meal if they make it that long. And here I am again only now it's a $40,000 solution of getting implants which I may hate or may have a whole new set of problems like who's going to pay for them?

Well, I wrote a comment and it didn't show up so I must have said something wrong. I don't know. I just wanted to thank you for answering me a few months ago. You are an inspiration. This is an exceptionally great video. The mind is a powerful thing. Ironically, I really love people and I was losing my ability to get close to them. My teeth were cracking off and they were dying from the root. I knew I would never again be able to get close to someone. I feel like I was born to help. I had my ridges flattened yesterday and I'm going in 3 weeks to have impressions and then have my front teeth pulled to put in my temporaries. What color would you suggest for them? I was thinking the whitest shade of natural teeth. I love that you have faith. I cried the whole day before I went to the dentist because, I'm going through this without any support. I'm so glad that you made a video a month ago. I was wondering how you were doing and this makes me feel so good. 🩷🌷
