Hey man...Thank u...I really appreciate this. Over 9 years ago I started with Fruity Loops (FL Studio). Brought my first midi keyboard and received Ableton Live 9 Lite. Now I have Ableton Live 10 Suite and never looked back. Keep it up. I have alot of time to learn more and get better. Still haven't gotten a handle on creating successfully, and now I think I have found the one to watch.

Hey Man, this was very helpful. Question if you or anyone else can answer about the soft clipper on the master. I notice your track is peaking at about -0.3db. What would you do to export this for a mastering when they often need the track to peak between -6 to -4DB? Thanks
@jackrochford3964 Жыл бұрын
Would be best to level your track and not turn up the gain on the softclipper, your track can be peaking at anything below 0 for it to be mastered, an engineer just needs some headroom. Fearless wouldnt be mastering this beast, just mixing himself and wouldve had his soft clipper set to -.3 db so when he turns the mix up it doesnt go over 0

question ableton team, load up track with vst to play lst sounds cool done, load up another track- with vst play same notes but doesn't match the notes from lst track anymore, very frustrating don't no what is wrong, like it's transposed up to full steps, makes making quick fun loops painful, it should be the exact same pattern just played with different vst and on different aimed track

Great video mate!!, 10+ years fl user here,fl piano roll is superior, it makes me easy to make “slide”, strum, arp etc note,i loved it, but honestly ableton is gold! organized track/midi grouping, routing workflow, automation stays on the track. Fl 20+ can do consolidating track directly on session view to but it will complicated if the track in mix bus, in ableton consolidating process directly to output channel without fx not through to main channel but direct!!❤ even in complicated routing route. Freezing feature is badass!! No doubts!!. Sound design? Yeah ableton has a ton superior features and workflow. I moved to ableton on January 2024 it just take me 1 week to switch.
@FearlessBeatzMusic7 ай бұрын
Bro check out the latest video I just dropped. Ableton 12 literally added all of those features to the piano roll and way way more new stuff I've never seen in other DAW's. Feel free to DM on Instagram if you have any specific questions
@bavingeter4232 жыл бұрын
Fearless I know with 100% certainty that ableton and fl sound the same. People think they sound different, but it’s scientifically proven many times over that they don’t. There are some inherent settings that you would have to change in either DAW and that’s mainly in the samplers, also FL’s default template has a shitty limiter on the master. People make beats in FL, have no idea how to gain stage, drive everything into the red not realizing it’s being limited and say “fL sOuNdS bETtEr” trust me, I’ve made the same exact beat in ableton and FL, same exact samples, same settings on sampler, approximately same volume and bounced them. They sound exactly the same. If anyone reading this wants to hear my experiment I have a google drive folder I can link with both of those bounces. Knowledge is power people, the producer community needs to do better!

A lot of the knowledge is good in this video but his gain staging seems to be off for sure. you should be aiming for just under 0 or exactly 0 before mixing. You should also never add plugins to the master unless you are mastering. take a lot of this guys mixing tips with a grain of salt.

Hey brother what a good channel I found, I'm just trying to make my transition from fl studio to ableton and these types of videos solved my life! 🙏🔥 But I have a doubt, why in the "Simpler" plugin do you put the 808 in the classic mode and not in the one shot mode? Is there any difference apart from the duration with the midi, does it change the sound at all? is that I feel that it is more comfortable using the one shot mode since you do not have to manually lengthen its duration in the piano roll. I have this big question.
@FearlessBeatzMusic2 жыл бұрын
No it doesnt sound different. One shot mode plays the full length of the 808 no matter what (besides running into the next 808 note. Ableton solves that issue by default ;D). I like to control the length of the 808 notes so thats why I put it in classic mode. You dont always need the full 808 sample to play
