I wouldnt mind putting a 4stroke onto my spare crockart chassie. Ive seen a 160cc lifan with a 4speed gearbox and 14hp going for about £280. Thats a pitbike engine btw, so not exactly what that 4ss needs. Ive also seen a 500cc yzf for £300 and im very tempted by that idea as soon as i find somewhere to drive something that crazy.

The Torini clubmaxx is the most popular 4ss engine nationally, in SEQ though the Supermaxx has been going strong and is picking up some momentum basically for heavier drivers. The Briggs lo206 whilst a lovely engine simply hasn't been competitive against the Torini. Consider it like a fireball in open tag dez.

I also want to add for me being a new guy to karting. The biggest reason I like the l206 1 cost Briggs is extremely cheap to run 2 spec series/motor 3 it’s great for someone entering the sport 4 very powerful motor as someone that weights 200lbs the Briggs still kicks my body in the ass 5 lots of available to run a race I live in Florida and I could find a race just about every weekend if I wanted to. Weather club national etc 6 you don’t have to be a engineer to be competitive extremely simple to run 7 because of the growth of this category no matter what your level you will always find someone to rub pods with. 8 great for the weekend enthusiast with time restrictions. Due to its simplicity 9 the people are great but I am thinking this is the karting community in general
@PowerRepublic3 жыл бұрын
hey stuart, that's what I hear a lot about the 206. I think in Australia we have the Torini Supermax which is a sealed unit, simple to run category. like you said, simple to set up + easy to use = loads of people to race
