Hey everyone!
Part 6 of Feb, I think! :D
So many balls in the air at the moment! I'm getting there, hopefully things will settle soon and I'll catch them rather than dropping them! :D
Enjoy!
The website still has A LOT to go on it, there is a lot of dead links and empty space and even some 'sample stuff' from the template I bought, but if you'd like to look at how a sample recipe will look, here's a link and feedback is always welcome :)

Give yourself some Grace. Don't stress to much on what videos to make. Keep it easy. I say that most everyone loves your grocery shop and food prep and weekly meals. It doesn't matter if it's "repetitive" we LOVE them anyways. You are doing great! If you are only able to do 3 videos a week then that's what you do. 💕💕💕

Hi Nyssa! I’m new here and love you rambling. Probably because I do the same thing! Watching your videos has helped me think outside the box with meals. I’ve been trying to get creative with meals for my mother since she’s going through cancer treatment and she was bored with same ole things. You have really helped me both with meals and distractions. I’m sure that things will settle down with work for you, no matter what it might be. And if you want to sit and ramble on, I will happily watch. 😊

Hi Nyssa, great video - as usual! A tip regarding storing tomato paste, if you turn the jar upside down when storing in the fridge, it doesn't grow mould. I've been doing it for years now and it works every time. Do you have a recipe, or can point us in the direction for a recipe, for the beef dish in the pressure canner? I don't know how to spell it! Thank you. I love all your preserving videos, especially when you show us how you use the products. Searching for food preservation videos is how I initially found you.

Birria! :D. There are so many different variations out there, you're prob best to google and pick the one that sounds good to you! I have ADHD and also tend to miss ingredients on lists. I have to double and triple check whatever it is I am making before my final step. I almost missed baking powder last night in my banana bread. I've done that before. Also, getting all of the ingredients out and onto the counter before I begin helps. Mostly i have to triple check and just take the time to slow down and look. If I take my ADHD meds it doesn't happen nearly as often. I'm a grown woman, but I had this problem my whole life and I only got diagnosed as an adult. I hope Sonet is well 😊

Someone else suggested tipping it upside down, I'll have to give it a go, I know it is well and truly acidic enough to last quite a while, but it always seems to get fuzzy lol. I could recan it into smaller jars too, but for the only few times I use parts of a jar, that seems a lot of effort!

@OurSmallFootprint I'd assume it wouldn't be far off the thing is with those peppers they aren't always as clean as you would hope and I've had some that were slightly bitter when I'd used them straight in cooking not preboiling so it was suggested to me to always rinse then preboil them then blend with other spices and aromatics before adding to the full dish to be cooked. But yours did look pretty clean when you were cutting them so maybe better quality.

Nyssa, every time you mention Lactose Intolerant, I wanted to tell you about one of my daughters. She has Celiacs Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and is allergic to any type of grain. I feel so bad for her and when I visit, it is so hard to cook for her and everyone else. People say when you breastfeed, your baby builds up an immune system and they pretty much don't have problems with food. I don't know where they learned that, because she is the only child I breastfed and she has all these problems. I ate very well when nursing her, didn't drink, smoke, nothing I wasn't supposed to do. So when you hear something from a DR or other people, it's not always true.

All my kids were breastfed too, all for 12+ months depending on when the next came along etc, all introduced to trouble foods to see how they coped etc etc! Just super unlucky, though D has some issues with intolerances/allergies and his gut, so I blame it on him lol

Nope, warm but mild, I don't add any other chillies except the guajillo and they have just an amazing depth of flavour with not too much heat!

Maybe list everything you make and preserve in the title then the week eg: "Canning blackberries, sourdough starter, week 4 post grocery haul"

Nissa, you are my it girl, and if you do patreon I'm there!! I have 4 kid's and aim to be more like you 😊 I'm also like you, in that I don't leave my property unless I have too, and I understand the difficulty of feeding a larger family. I can jar, I'm not quite at canning point lol. We also use the pantry to make things stretch, have you considered talking to your Aberdeen reps to see if they can help a bit more?

Nope, nothing different in youtube land! I don't have time to be altering videos or putting some out earlier lol, all this is the same, it will just be a bit of a community to get some more input from people in an easier platform than the comments here! :D.

It's a decor brand that one! I think I got it from Woolworths/Coles whenever they had a decor half price sale hehe, I've tried a lot of diff ones, glass, from amazon, from Thermomix etc, this one has been the one that works the most consistently and has a really nice wide spray of oil!
