This whole anti remote work is clearly your bias. I could counter all of your points. What’s the point of driving an hour each way sitting in a cubicle all day to be on virtual meetings with people in other cities? My quality of life went down drastically. There is massive cost to the employer for providing unnecessary workspace. And if I’m going to have to live in a big city and commute to some giant office building, guess what I’ll take the next job that pays 10,000 more. There are major advantages to having a remote, workforce. Butts in seats does not automatically equal productivity. Apparently you have a bunch of workers that slack and you’re not able to measure their performance appropriately.
@Sobanhassan17617 күн бұрын
Elon opposed this remote thing and these guys are just parroting him without thinking much about it.
@metalgirl7 күн бұрын
Obviously depends on your job. I think it’s disgusting for me to field the other workers mail, printer issues and coordinate their work at the office when they decide to stay home. Those jobs aren’t my jobs however since I decide to actually go in to my job, I’m there to pick up their pieces. Not fair at all.

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 💯 So stupid to take on millions in expenses and put people into long dangerous commutes and waste time just because they can’t learn how to manage a remote team. If your direct report is quiet quitting successfully then that’s 100% the fault of the manager that they have provided zero accountability and failed to notice that priorities are going unmet.

I absolutely enjoy watching you two break down all these different topics. I would really like to hear your advice on how the most under invested generation, can catch up and acquire the goal of financial freedom starting off in their late 30's+. I was taught to work hard, save and be a productive member of society. I've implemented these teachings only to watch my saving disappear. I've learned many different skill sets in repair and construction (i.e refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, gas work, carpentry, and a few others) I apply this knowledge on a day to day basis and can't seem to get ahead. I respect your opinion and would love to hear your thoughts?

I love working remote. I actually get more done remote than in an office, I can take my kid to school, I can pick them up. If you include the 1 hour drive I used to make each way to work I save 520 hours a year from sitting in my car and thousands of dollars in gas. After work I go to the gym and meet people to workout. You can quiet quit in an office too. I've been there...eventually you'll just quit. Plus when I get an IT outage call late at night or early in the morning I don't have to drive into the office to fix anything. Time saved = more time with family and happy employee.

Hi Anthony and Polina. Thanks for the great show. You are quite a team! Interested in some commentary on what support we can expect from Harris-Walz for crypto in the USA should Trump lose the election. There appears to be little in the way of policy announcements on crypto so far from Harris which is a concern. Can we expect a continuation of Choke 2.0 under Harris. Team MASA! Great episode, nice to see drunken sailors having someone in their corner. Likes/ Agrees- Deficit needs to come down, rate cut this month is more about posturing than the actual figure, important coverage of second assassination attempt. People are more productive, happy i and engaged n office Disagrees - Remote work is complex, Some positions better suited to remote. Hopefully your employees who "play on their computer" all day get out and get some sunshine and human interaction! NYT subscription, combatting Gel-Mann amnesia? Some great (funny) quotes, but the serious one that stood out: "There are very few humans who can hold a bar of excellence up to themselves" Question: How do we fix Healthcare / Food industry when the incentives, through capitalism, are to chase profits and repeat business rather than optimal outcomes (healthy, non addictive foods, healthy lifestyles as opposed to more drugs vaccines etc) Don't get me wrong, I think capitalism is great but certain industries seem to be suffering when money is the main driver of outcomes.

No one has the courage to cut anything whether they are Democrat or Republican. Defense, nope, social security, they better not, Medicaid, nope...etc .. If I was a corporation I wouldn't mind people working at home because it saves the money and ultimately improves the underlying stock price in the long run. It's a dead issue because artificial intelligence is going to replace a lot of White collar jobs in the next 10 years anyway. It seems like a lot of caucasians don't see the value in diversity and equity programs because they had never had to struggle against racism. You don't have to struggle in a system that is for you and by you. At the same time the leaders of diversity and equity programs have let their movement become hijacked by a bunch of communists, socialists, and atheists. I enjoy your program and even though you're probably center right and I'm center left I still find value on the topics that you speak about.

I like your show but you have it all wrong about remote workers. I've never been more productive than since I was freed from the jail of a suburban business park. And many of the most talented of my colleagues work remotely. With online meeting and collaborative document technology, there is no need for many knowledge workers to transport their physical bodies to work under fluorescent lights in their own separate office.

I’d say a dovish 50 or a hawkish 25 would be great and the 50 needs some time to cool off which could be bad but 25 would require another one twice a quick 75 would be bad. Many people want to crash the market.
