If anything I think the Darley should’ve remained the noon siren! The Eclipse as the storm siren makes sense, but they left the Darley up there, so they might as well use it lol

I was previously informed that Sterling 3V8's didn't actually exist. The "Darley 3V8" is also in fact a misnomer, however the actual model number is unknown. These came in 2 sizes: 2.5HP and 5HP. The 2.5 HP sirens had a much smaller rotor and a shroud that extended over the chopper. Those were available in 8-port choppers (AFAIK). The 5HP siren, seen here, had a larger rotor, in fact, ones shared from the classic 7.5HP Darley horizontal sirens, and had a shorter shroud over the chopper. These are available in both 8 and 12-port choppers.
