I come at this with no real educated background. A layman through and through. He's confirming what I've been writing down over the past 5 years. When I turned 60 for reasons I cannot know, I began to write. Essays describing this whole realm of consciousness, the experiential and the knowing element. And redefining what we think of as Free Will within consciousness. Up to this point, I had no drive to write about anything, let alone something as esoteric as this. Which I could have not even the awareness of as I had no OBE or anything drug-induced. It just came to me and I wrote it down.

It's happening to more and more people every day. While I can't tell you why, I can tell you that The Universe at it's smallest level, far below The Planck Scale, is an Intelligent Conscious Field. IT created Us in order to Know Itself. We literally think our reality into existence in this field. We are part of the Field and always within it. Don't stop writing, I'd love to read it....

Interesting. But why calling yourself a layman. There are many with a high degree who know just their dogmatic sciences and are so indoctrinated that they can't think out of the box anymore or are stuck by their financiers that they only are allowed to confirm the narrative that suits the sponsors. Today's science is as a fortress, even more a prison where a conscious mind couldn't survive. Knowing that elites want to compete and win from the creative force in the origin of all and nothing, they copycat anything in their reverse constructing of the existence. That's why they created AI, CERN but all they do starts from a selfish point and will be destructive for themselves because they can not incorporate the good side and this world this earth is based on duality in which we had to learn to develop the conscient good side. We, humans, have got the choice to do good, to be good to each others and thus to ourselves in the full knowledge that we also can chose for the bad but that should be the possibility of destroying everything we've received from the beginning. That is why I am confident that today's most ugly greed & arrogance from the 1% is doomed to annihilate itself. They planned the collapse of society and that will return to themselves, even we will be facing many difficult years with lessons for all of us that are necessary to learn us who we really are. We've got already many lessons in the past, but we, the people had not yet seen the forces that direct our reality. Now we do. That means a big responsibility for humanity, something we've always let to others to decide, the politics, the science...

so glad people with real engineering backgrounds are here to explain thoroughly, that Consciousness is NOT an aftereffect of chemical nor electrical activities. I read Federico's book Silicon, as well as Bernardo Kastrup's books. Two brilliant minds. Hoping that this new paradigm can slowly trickle down to the mainstream, specially those people who think that materialism is the only way to interpret the world.

The prevailing paradigm is just fine for describing relative reality (Maya). Science is firmly embedded within the "illusion". One can realize the Absolute and still acknowledge the relative. A dream cannot be said to be unreal because it appears, yet cannot be said to be real because it's destroyed by knowledge (i.e. Awakening). It's like becoming lucid within a dream. The dream's illusion of reality is destroyed.

@@justasimpleguy7211 Thanks for Your feedback. Your argument is sound and reasonable. Ultimately, it's about how much 'Mind RAM' we have to handle all the apps. If not enough or too many apps, systems (biological, silicon, etc.) freeze. If the System as a Whole freezes, it will consequently NOT pass the great filter. Whether we have or have NOT passed through this hypothetical filter already is a serious concern for simulation proponents such as Nick Bostrom and other 'deep' Thinkers.

If reality manifests itself only through observation and it is not there unless or until you interact with it, then it seems that this must be a representation like a computer screen or a TV screen or a hologram. Those things all represent reality but are not the primary source.

that consciousness cannot be known from without, that consciousness is a function of privacy that can only be known to itself. That the body operates top down like a drone and consciousness can and does exist beyond the existence of the body, in this I find fascination, in fact my consciousness exploded a sentient vision of afterlife without any fanfare as I read about this, the veil lifted for me momentarily and now its gone and I feel like a dumb block of wood of sentience in comparison! I am usually not that good at picturing or imagining...something is up here.

20:20 Dear Federico, First of all, thank you for your wonderful work and everything you are doing in order to promote the importance of a global shift of paradigm. So profoundly needed in today’s world and society. Thank you for spreading the knowledge to such an high extent in the scientific community, the public and the political world. Thank you, from the heart. Like the peak experience of Love you went through, in that precise day, that made you (com)participating of the understanding of a picture much bigger than what your (our) usual comprehension is. That vibrational wisdom, like Fire in your chest emanating through all your bodies (physical, mental, emotional, etc.), able to shift profoundly, radically and forever the significance of the Whole. Your whole. The awareness of you as not separated, in joy, peace and great love, as you described it, the one that allowed you to instantaneously “download” at all levels (macro to microscopic & beyond) the higher vibrations of Love that withstand reality in all dimensions. Consciousness, as you call it. Awareness & Realization, as some other call it too. The Advaita Vedanta, the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali and several other in the Western world like Plato or Plotino, put a name on what you went through. Using the Sanskrit word “Savikalpa Samadhi”, or what Yogananda would have called “Christ’s Consciousness”, they (the Wises) would have said that you, your person and your actions, are driven today by such an experience. Patanjali speaks also about the knowledge through “direct experience” (or better, through vibrational alignment with the so called object wanted to be known, until identity is made). Giving huge credit to the reasoning method of understanding and creating knowledge, but considering it limited, compared to the above mentioned way of comprehension (experiential, we could say, but in a non-dualistic way). The Vedanta, in the form of the Advaita, with Śankara, in the VIII century was able to go a step forward from the so called “Savikalpa Samadhi” state. Śankara described the obtainment of “Nirvakalpa Samadhi” = “Unity with Oneness”, to the point that all the rational conceptualizations cease to exist (no observer separated from the observation, any longer). When that happens, we understand why Plato talked the way he talked about the ultimate reality. We understand why the creation is what it is. And the concept of omniscience doesn’t infringe any longer with self awareness and free will. My relative understanding of Truth says, that It/He/She/They doesn’t need to create the physical experience/existence. It just do it because It/He/She/They can. And the existence of everything is happening out of pure love. That is, the emanation/vibration of all forms, at all levels. And the beauty is that opposites are just paradoxically included. Anyway, it is easier to cover those aspects live. So, I wish we’ll have the opportunity to clarify this in person. E a dire il vero, sono sicuro che ne avremo l’opportunità, presto. Stiamo a vedere. By the way, there was an Italian man, few years ago, able to put together the path that bring to Oneness. Like other before him. His name was Raphael. Your father, Giuseppe, had the opportunity to meet him and also published a book about Plotino, through his publishing house. Edizioni Aśram Vidya. I strongly recommend Śankara’s Vivekacudamami with Raphael comments. So, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, also commented by him. I wish you Federico and all the video spectators and readers of this comment, all the best. I wish you guys Peace. A profound One. Śanti. Jody

I felt unexpected love in my chest area just after receiving the First Communion! I wasn't looking forward to that day as I was unhappy with my dress and accessories and my mum even didn't come to the church with me. I wanted the whole thing to end, so I can take my dress off, so I was shocked when the feeling of love had entered my chest and stayed with me for sometime, I can't remember how long. I saw the surroundings looking much prettier than they were and something was telling me this was a new beginning for me. I was dazzled and overwhelmed by this. ❤

In college and much of my life I wondered about an existence in afterlife, or not. I worried about free will, or not. I wondered if consciousness. I took two philosophy elective courses to study the issue. And read a lot after college. Then one day I realized it doesn't matter for me. When I die much will be answered. As to the rest of it. It doesn't really matter if we know and understand or not. So I quit worrying about it. If nothing exist after I die, then that will be as much an answer and if something exist.

All this was known in the Veda and Vedic literature. It was probably also known by Plato in his secret teachings, it was certainly known in the neo-platonic prologue of the 4th gospel by St. John: "In the beginning was the logos and the logos was with God and God was the logos." What was described there was not only information (or better knowledge - in India called Veda) but the whole interplay of the knower, the known, and process of knowing, in the gospel depicted by the metaphor of the (quantum-mechanical?) Father and the Son (who enters space-time) plus the spirit (consciousness, i.e. the computer). Note that in interprocess-communication you also have parent and child processes and in object-oriented programming you have inheritance of classes.) Another strange sentence in the gospel of John (challenging all the intellectuals of all times) was "Before Abraham was - I AM". In the Vedic tradition of India one of the final cognitions of enlightenment is "Veda aham" ("Knowledge I am"), and Aham Brahmasmi ("I am wholeness"). I don't know whether the theoretical physicist of Oxfort, David Tong also is enlightened, but he said a few years ago in a beautiful lecture available on YT on the question what we are made of: "Atoms are a lie, we are the field". So not information is fundamental but the holy TRINITY of the sender, receiver, and flow of information. My Indian master Maharishi called it "Self-interacting wholeness". This involves symmetry and broken symmetry - for the game does only work when there is something that the other does not know and yet both are on the same wave length and understand each other. (By the way every equation has both symmetry and broken symmetry, so also mathematics comes from self-interaction.) This leads to the conclusion that space-time is only a kind of a monitor (like the flat-time monitor in front of me). And behind this there would be, let's say in the quantum vacuum, the holy trinity of - processor (creating change and thus bringing forth time) - memory (creating dimensions and objects in them) and - programs / processes bringing about inter-process-communication Another brief revival of this knowledge of trinity happened around 1300 by a German mystic called Meister Eckhard. However, he disappeared in Avignon when he was trying to present his findings to the exiled Pope. I give you here my translation of a poem ascribed to him. Note that he hints at a possible measurement theory as he mentions the senses, and (cosmic) senses you need for measurement. He also indicates that we cannot know "IT" (unless we ARE IT as Vedic teachers tell us: "Thou art THAT") Anonymous poet Trinity Song IN dem begin, Where you commence, hoch über sin High above sense, was ie das wort. The Word is stored, o richer hort, Abundant hoard, do ie begin begin gebar. Where origin gives birth to origin. (self-interaction) O vater brust, O Father‘s breast us der mit lust From which with zest (joy) das wort ie floz: The Word outpours doch hat diu schoz And yet the source (womb, vaccuum?) das wort behalten, Has always kept the Word within. das ist war. I just feel it’s so important to breakthrough the dogma of reductionist science if we are to thrive as human beings. Sydney Banks, a welder from Scotland had a similar ‘awakening’ in his 40’s, which totally changed him and thereafter spoke of it to those who wanted to listen. He spoke about the Three Principles (Universal Mind, Consciousness and Thought) - the Trinity, and how we live by them. His talks are also on You Tube.

❤❤❤and let that just be that crucial aspect of humanity and of life, be the one thing that those in power try very hard to destroy. Children to childcare, older ones in homes, breaking down of families, opposing younger against older generations. Preaching self development and narcissistic hedonism. Health care time managed and technological in stead of face time for the patient. Dehumanisation is their motivation because they themselves are psychopaths who don't matter for love, only for materials and money. And many people fall for their principles, was lately in a restaurant, a family with 2 children on the table next to us, all on their cellphone, nice eating together. We've let us be seduced by their screens and it will be worse with the metaverse. Connected to the whole world and disconnected of true humain relations. This will affect especially the younger generations and of course that was the goal all along.

@ariannad.5863 Жыл бұрын
@@fukpoeslaw3613 Ettore Majorana was an Italian physicist who participated in the studies on atomic energies in the 1930s, together with Enrico Fermi and Emilio Segrè. He had been a child prodigy in the field of mathematics, his abilities led him to become a very young university professor in Naples, but in 1938, during a ship trip from Sicily, he disappeared without a trace. He has assumed suicide, or he has taken refuge in a monastery because he was worried about the negative consequences of atomic energy. Legend has it that during his life as a monk, he built a "machine" capable of obtaining energy from the void, transforming and destroying matter, but this machine was later destroyed because it was too dangerous for humanity. In any case, suicide or monk, he is currently surely dead because he was born in 1906.

The greater question becomes, why do some of us access this high consciousness and others not if it is somehow not the result of the function of the brain? It is almost like being musically talented, some people have it some don't. One could argue that it is the product of reincarnation and "older souls" but this poses more questions than answers. Is everyone capable of this level of consciousness, this awakening, that is the question.

Everyone does and its not a higher concioucness not from my materialistic perspective im open for evidance and changing my stance assuming I have the right stance on what evidance IS however for now this is my position snd under this stance, the experience that the mind creats the world is compatible with a materialist view. Odds are the reality hehehe is probably not materialism idealism nor pansychism it might be neither of those Even physicalism yet that doesnt EXCLUDE the posibility that it might be the composites of all of the above minus pansychism all rolled up into a materialist frame that in itself does not produce concioucness yet produces the substrate for its emergance, but that assumes that something emerges at one threshold and not another which could be random why thats not understood so were not sure it emergance is tru but thats assuming that it seems random because we dont understand the variables for that. So we dont know no one alive does yet what this guy sais is worth considering in how it slots into a physicalist frame I dont see idealism or physicalism nor materialism as a descrete frame that explains concioucness, odds are in the future we will probably use a composite framework that does not exclude material physic or idealism since non by themselves explain how something like this arises. We gotta keep an open mind

More complex organisms 'receive' different levels of consciousness, even between humans. Also it seems the universe doesn't always work perfectly, some - like certain sociopaths & psychopaths - don't receive any consciousness at all. Once in a while an honest one admits that they're 'empty' and merely mirroring the world around them.

Congratulations excellent interview. You let people talk while others interrupt too often. Overall best interview of Faggin I have heard so far. Could you please interview Federico again with Bernardo Kastrup please? To my knowledge no one has done that yet and those two minds together, in a long session, could unlock more wonderful insights. For example did I hear correctly when Federico said that one day ( after we die?) we might be immersed in a new ‘reality’ in order, maybe, to solve some issues we had not yet solved while in this ‘reality’. Thank you to any one that could clarify what Federico Faggin was hinting at.

Good topic. If space and time represent and activate the event bar on your monitor, a mode of consciousness represents the downloading bar. It is always ahead. It is not as if it grows with the growth of others but is like a Ram supporting the quickness of the down load. This equivalent of Ram is actually the supreme intelligence in transcendence downsizing itself to facilitate the events to happen in its arena. Intelligence being a mere tool of Consciousness facilitates such activities, not on ones local level of observed events but beyond on the cosmos level of events. It can accommodate any growth, there is no limitation to its capacities, it is Really infinite.

@19:40 huh! First place I think Federico misses the point. The idea of platonic conceptions of mathematics is not that we can know the truth about mathematical reality, but that if you have any consistent formal system all the theorems _of that system_ in some abstract (platonic) sense already exist. Just not in any concrete form you can point at or write down (if they contain any axiom of infinity). In other words, as Gödel perhaps would have said, platonism is simply true by definition. The thing maybe Federico is perhaps touching upon but not quite nailing, is that for anything as powerful as Peano arithmetic we cannot prove the axioms are consistent without an endless regress (into ever more expanded axiom schemes). But that's also "just" logic. It is not platonic mysticism by any stretch.

My husband pointed out to me that social survival of the fittest is somewhat different than biological survival of the fittest. One question I have is, in your opinion, at which point did the kink (falling asleep and dreaming of separation from our Source) occur? A.C.i.M. says the Sons of God remembered not to laugh (at the preposterous idea of separation really occurring for more than a fraction of a second, and then being already over). It seems that the Sons of God existed prior to the human being, and maybe even the physical world. Nevertheless, we each have our own homework/innerwork cut out for us.

He is more than accurate! He is logical also. "My" experience was exactly the same in 1980 when I was 40. I began writing...I'm trying to write my memoir which will validate everything he alludes to. He speaks the Truth of all there is, the physical body came AFTER Consciousness. The miracle of our bodies come from IT, the Spirit of Nature' which brought everything else into physical form. IT wanted to see itself or recognize itSelf somehow. When you experience Love you are experiencing the formless Essence of YOU....what your truly actually are.....Love/Life/Nature which created it all, or somehow allowed Life to happen and evolve as it has.

Great analogy.... Anyway it puts our "neocortex brain" in a state of rational confrontation, the information tends to mean "ok I don't find my mountain, I must go out". I searched my mountain everywhere.... And it wasn't, for me, in a particular place. I found people like Faggin that showed me their way. I met Faggin the last year, it was amazing. It was November. On a train, here in Italy and I was coming back from the bar. He was walking and I recognized him. WOOOWWWW! I told him I knew everything about him. Saw his videos, read his book "silicio"... And he talked to me like a friend. Gave me a personal advice.... A great person

Not much good if your practice is as dangerous as climbing all the 8000 metre high mountains without oxygen, when there's a good chance that doing that will mean it won't be long before you're not around to experience whatever benefits you hope it'll provide 🤔
