If more people supported the cottage industries around them a lot more of us could stay home. I run a soap business out of my home so that I can run the house, garden and take care of our son while my husband works away from the home. The end goal is to get it so my husband can work from home later on. Supporting those around you is a win/win for everyone. I love shopping re-sellers!

Becky is so awesome! Between her enthusiasm for everything she does and your “make your waiting room a classroom”, I have been so inspired to do so many things this past year. I have canned so many different kinds of food, learned how to dehydrate food, learned how to store the bulk food we now have on hand, become so much more adventurous on what I grow in my 3 raised bed gardens, and recently acquired a 5 acre property to start my own homestead. It is really cool to see the homesteading community support and build each other up!

Been watching Becky for about eight months now, and her energy and exuberance are absolutely contagious! Not only does she cook big, she farms big, she preserves big! Go big or go home is apparently her life‘s mantra. Nice to see the plug here for her as she is quite an inspiration. Also thank you for sharing Ben’s reading material. We read many of boxcar children books when my son was small and I have precious memories from that experience.

Becky is a hoot! I've been watching her for most of this year. Gardening, Pacific Northwest and bulk cooking for two with real food. That fits my husband and I perfectly. Our growing season is the same, except we are farther north in the Puget Sound area. She will motivate you for sure. Living the life that God intended us to live. So satisfying. Thank you for how you motivate as well. Keeping it real and doable. Thanks, Jess.

Box Car Children are still favorites of me - and I'm 70 years old and a teacher. I found them in 5th grade - so that was 60 years ago! Have Benjamin look at the original copyright date. It was something like1938 in book#1! We still use them often in school today - our 3rd. grade has lots of them! Well done Benjamin!

I love Becky! I’ve been watching her for awhile now and man she has energy I wish I had! Haha! I have done many of the freezer meals she has made and they are sooo good! I love doing bulk freezer meals and drop chicken (that what I call Marinated chicken that you can just drop in any cooking tool, pan, crockpot, skillet, etc.) she does a lot of those from scratch which is super helpful for me because I have avoid a lot of different foods because of medical issues and I can choose to not add something like chili or pepper which both are a no for me. I just love Becky!

Our barn was full of old 78s & LPs. After I got all the music I ‘needed’ I started mentioning them & was able to gift them to friends & strangers. They were used for decorations & music. I’m sobbing!!!! My kids would make PBJ sandwiches & stack them back into the bread bags (we were too poor for baggies), buy water with their allowance money, we supply some fruit & my husband would take them to the homeless area in the east side of town. My oldest 2 were in high school & helped for extra credit. After a few weeks, it became their ministries. You bless me with these stories.

We call it "Herd share" where we can buy in on a cow, pigs or chickens. We then get a portion of the milk produced, eggs, pork etc. We can go visit our animal(s) whenever we want, be a part of the milking process or egg gathering or whatever. Some farms also prorate some fees if you want to be a part of the whole process of taking care of your animal(s). It is an amazing program.

Making batches of soups or chili and freezing them in containers has been my go to for years. I even have pot pie filling in the freezer (minus the potatoes, rice or pasta you would put into them because it will get mushy when reheating). Plus making broth and freezing for later use also. Homemade soup and fresh baked bread will be a big win for those attending your class and will be remembered by those attending.

When we moved to our property several years ago we were asked by the previous owner if we wanted all the “trash” removed from the large barn and outbuildings. We had already seen some beautiful pieces of wood in there so we said it was fine to leave it all. It was a lot of work and there are still some places not fully cleared out but we found many gems. We incorporated lots into our home and was also able to sell some items to help fund projects on our property.

That jacket was AWESOME! I had one of those in the 70's. I still remember it and I loved it.

Love, love, love Becky’s channel at Acre Homestead! She inspired me to batch freezer cook for the first time and as someone who hates to prepare weeknight dinners this was a game changer!

Jess, I’m a long time follower and I am so excited for your success but I felt I needed to comment. It feels like every video now is either promoting another KZbinr, sponsored by a company whose products you’re trying to sell, or showcasing your merch. I guess I’m realizing I prefer the “old” you? You were so relatable but as you said in a recent video, you’re striving to be Magnolia. It shows. Please please don’t lose yourself in the success. I loved the genuine, passionate garden content.

Hey guys miss y'all. I use to have that same jacket in the late 70's. Thought I was so cool. That is such a beautiful memory of your dad supporting you at a young age instead of just not allowing you because of the danger. Great job dad. Keep up the good work and God bless you all. I bless you till next time

It was heartwarming to hear of your youthful kindness to those in need, your dad did the right thing to encourage you....and what wonderful memories you two have.

Becky from Acre homestead has really taken off in a short time. I started watching her when she just started . It’s neat to see how she has fallen into her comfort zone
