What a blessing you must be to them! It is difficult sometimes imagining what your needs may be 20 years down the road as family and friends age or become disabled. It hurts when your dad can't climb the stairs or a wheelchair doesn't fit through the bathroom door. You are a blessing!

There’s a reason that some studied and excelled in natural medicinal treatments throughout the centuries. It takes lifetimes and lifetimes to learn what works, how and when, what part of the season each one works best in. How to maximize strength to maximize appropriate portions. Medical community may have some knowledge too. The university’s. Just can’t cut into pharmaceutical profits. 😂💕actually not funny, but true.

So glad the Honeystead was highlighted!! She studied herbs at Green Comfort where I have been studying too! She’s so amazing! I got literal chill bumps when you said that weeds/plants grow around you that you need for survival or an illness. I’ve believed that for so many years and have seen it many times. So grateful for you and many others who are stewards to the Earth and listening to Her. She needs us right now. 💚🌿🌱🍃

One kitchen for daily cooking, etc. the other for food preservation and seasonal baking, etc! I would rather have more storage and a 2nd kitchen than extra bathrooms!! As I think about my dream house, the storage space is a prime factor. I want to be out in the country so having enough put back when there is the distinct possibility of being cut off from a store for weeks. I also want dedicated guest bedrooms because having friends over would be a joy to me. Blessings to everyone.

Seeing you milk your cow and see the milk makes me miss fresh milk, nothing compares to it. I worked on a dairy farm in highschool and they had a few cows that had to be hand milked and I'd do those (I never asked why they had to be hand milk nor do I even remember why if I was told). They milked once at 4am and again at 6pm. they didn't pay me much but I'd get a gallon of fresh milk every shift and I loved doing the work.

Jess, in planning your forever home, please consider some features to help you all age in place. This means making the house functional for you as you age and possibly lose mobility. A ground floor master suite with a walk in shower is going to be a wonderful feature that can serve as a guest space or office space now and be refurnished later for your needs

"Typical" breeding age for a heifer is 13 to 15 months. So no need to wait until 18 months if the timing is better to breed a bit sooner. I would though, seriously consider breeding any of them so that they either calve in the late winter (Feb/Mar or earlier given your location.) or later in the fall. Heat stress isn't something to screw with. And baby calves do much better dealing with the cold than they do with the heat.

I'm Portuguese and a man that we used to go to for adjustments used to have us go out and find this certain weed and boil it, then soak a cloth in it and apply it to the area that was hurting or swolen and it would draw out the inflammation. It really did help a lot. I just can't remember the name of the weed. God Bless and you and your family stay safe. We have another storm coming here California today and one more this week and next out of Canada they said. It feels like its out of Alaska. Be safe, I pray it doesn't bring all of you in the South bad weather. 💗🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

We have seven people, cook a lot at home, and run a dishwasher 3-4 times/day. If we didn't have two dishwashers, I would have lost my mind. There is a third one downstairs that runs every 2-3 days with cups of tea, silverware, and snack plates for just two of us. You probably need 3 dishwashers. Maybe two in your farm food prep kitchen and two in your main kitchen.

It stores up all her things and I mean it’s beautiful yet simply designed!! It runs parallel to the kitchen via a glass door almost thinking it would be a small pantry but nope it’s like a long walk in closet lol how she’s designed it is like I said simple yet very practical.
