Africa has a lot of water n plus it's raining lots here! I don't mean u said something bad about Africa but I just want to justify the heartless comments directed towards our dear Africa. For those of you who see this don't judge a place based on just the negative stuff you see but rather discover the reality and the beauty of Africa. I am aware of people saying roasts related to Africa not having food and water as well as videos captioned "Shipping water to Africa" or "We will bring medicine to Africa once they get food" please humbe these people who speak lowly of areas based on what the internet displays not only Africa but also several other places. Thank you 😊

A lot of Invitations, to participate in their lives and culture… Beautiful. Many of the documentaries I’ve seen on these remote indigenous communities show remarkable hospitality, community, civility, and amazing vitality. Humanity never ceases to amaze me in their capacity for resilience, creativity, endurance and survival. Especially when we work together as a team or tribe. The myth of the “Rugged Individual” is so prevalent in America; we spend entire lifetimes next to neighbors who we never know or speak to. It’s incredibly sad and lonely here. Gone are the third spaces and opportunities for true connection; everything has been monetized, capitalized, optimized, pick your corporate jargonize, waiting until your old-almost dead to realize you’ve wasted almost all the time and energy in pursuit of money and someone else’s game. #1 regret. (Not enough time with friends and family.)

@mars_mallow_
@mars_mallow_ Ай бұрын
“primitive” is a term that dehumanizes these people. it is a very slippery road from there to justifying colonization. especially as a christian, it is important that you check your language when it comes to things like this. they don’t live primitively, just differently. there are many many aspects in which they are smarter than you, have more knowledge about things than you, and have more skills than you. their lives are just as real and their thoughts and emotions are just as complex as yours. just because they don’t use iphones and planes doesn’t mean that they are “primitive”. animals are primitive, and these are humans, not animals.

@@mars_mallow_ I think you are looking for things to be mad about here. I never said primitive is a bad thing inherently, and I do not think it’s a bad thing in this instance. The definition of primitive is “a person belonging to a preliterate, nonindustrial society” this is just an objectively true measure of their tribe. Assuming that you are a Christian, I would hope you would have more grace of charity for your fellow man and not assume I meant anything derogatory of it.
