And as my absolute favorite character of Vikings, Lagertha is a perfect name for a Crocodile Monitor. All the beauty, all the attitude.

Lagertha... giant tree monitor. Think day old chicks or larger. Quail and chicken would likely be more readily accepted without as much coaxing. Leaner than rodents and a little more presumably natural feeder. - I don't keep them myself but I do breed tegus and whitethroats(and ackies) and rarely have had a bird turned down. Good luck with your hoard, brother! Diggin the content!👍

I'm so happy to see that Lags finally ate, you could tell how nervous she was, but even though you were very close to her with the fish/tongs ( even when you kind of lightly fish-slapped her face, where at that point I thought this was going to be a dismemberment video), she never went for you, always the fish. She'll come around, you're doing amazing with her dude, just keep at it :)

Gosh your outdoor enclosures are goals for me and my boyfriend. We live in North FL and one day want to move down South so we can do more outdoor enclosures. I currently have an outdoor enclosure for my green iguanas when its warm out and my Russian tortoises. My boyfriend has an outdoor enclosure for his female Asian water monitor. They always seem happier and healthier being outside, they also exhibit different behaviors which is so fun to observe!

Lagather doesn't like the tongs. She hisses every time you stick the tongs in there. Just leave the fish there and she'll eat them at soon as you leave. We can wait a few weeks or months until she is comfortable enough to eat in front of the camera. 14:35

If you use tongs of different colors you can use those tongs of specific colors to gain a feeding response when you want not just at random. I also say different colors because you could use them for different monitors or for when they do certain actions they see for example a red tong and behave a certain way

Will Lagatha eat raw eggs? I once had a Gila Monster that I couldn't get to feed, and so I finally tried breaking an egg into a dish, placing it in the cage and then taking the lizard by the back of its neck, pushed its face into the egg yolk, breaking it, then letting the lizard go. It licked the yolk off of its "lips", then went to town on the rest of the egg. Feeding wasn't a problem after that.

Hi kenan, I typed a really long comment about needing some turtle supplies but it got deleted off of your comment section.. I stated I am in need of a uvb lamp and and some calcium. And also asked for some moss too. For my hatchling box turtle I found her a couple months ago , some fisherman had stepped on her and cracked the top and bottom of her shell!! very long story short she’s been threw a couple tank changes since then and I haven’t got the supplies to change it again. her shell has healed but growing slow and I know calcium will help growth with uvb lighting... I don’t have a lamp for uvb and it’s to Cold to put her outside in the sun, and uvb rays do not go threw glass so I can’t sit her in the window.... She’s has a good appetite eats very well she’s healthy so im sure she’s got a long life ahead of her. I usually watch every turtle video I can because I want to know everything I can. It’s seems like KZbin doesn’t have enough videos on turtles lol....I’ve had a lot of box turtles in the past they had proper care but they have ALL been released because they where wild caught that I got from people I knew in the past. I plan on letting my hatchling free next year... she actually hunts for her food I don’t put it in a dish I just throw some worms, Rollie poillies, or crickets in her tank (everyday) and she will stalk them.... I do not want to ruin her natural instinct for survival because she’s not going to be used for breeding purposes so what’s the point. She’s going to be released in a conservation area I wont settle for any less box turtles are my favorite animals...
