I feed a feral cat colony on my own dime. Wish I had a company that would help but it’s really not about the cost it’s about the cats!!

I do the same thing! I feed about 13 cats. Costs about $200/mo...& i live on a fxd income! ☺. But i wouldnt, not, do it! It WOULD be nice to have a little help tho, i agree 😂❤❤

I do feed like about 30 cats, out of my own pocket, and I to would love to have some company sent me food. Hihihi I do get some food occasionally and that makes me and the kiddies happy. I'm now trying to trap them to getting them fixed.

@@jenkolk2731 I worked with my local animal control on TNR a few years ago to get all my ferals spayed, neutered, and vaccinated. My colony is stable and I know each cat by sight. If I see a new cat without an ear tip I either try to find an owner or call AC to do another TNR. It has worked really well for me and me colony.

Awesome. I did TNR for 35 years. My favorite feral took me 9 years to crack. Then one day crawled into my lap and never wanted to leave. Tommy a gray tabby. Sadly he passed away about a year later in my arms. 🐈🐾❤️

I currently6 take care of a colony on the apartment complex property where I live. I have TnR around 50+ cats and found the kittens and a few adults homes. I feed about 20 morning and night . I also try and make sure they remain healthy and if one goes missing I will worry and look for them. Thank you Weruva for you blessing of food and thanks to all the caregivers.

When I took care of a cat colony -- I can tell you -- we care givers are SO GRATEFUL when someone else helps us out once in awhile. You all are Godsends. We do it out of our own pockets -- no vacations, no savings. My colony has all passed away years ago -- but it makes me SO HAPPY to hear Weruva donated all this food for the ferals! Its a healthy food, too! We should never feed the cats junky food because it only guarantees an illness at some point.

@@delorestaylor8114 I rescued 2 ferals & both had FIV. One of them finally let me pet him when he got older. He lived 2 & a half months shy of being 20 years old. They both were very happy & cuddled together & knowing they had meals on a regular basis.

What a wonderful blessing! The black cats 0:56 reminds me of my beloved Slinky and Midnight, cats I had growing up. Their mothers were feral. One mother we managed to befriend and keep. She was the meanest, toughest thing on four legs, but we got along just fine, everyone else was terrified. (typos edit)

It’s gotten really bad for cats because of COVID. At first people were adopting because they were at home with nothing to do so they got a cat. Than many were out of a job for longer than planned and the checks were not enough or running out so poor loving cats are literally being pushed to the curb. So many cats and kittens out there now, never seen anything like this.

How awesome is this? Well done everyone!! Honestly one of the best things I've seen in 2020. lol I feed strays and let them call my place home for as long as they like. Sometimes they stay for a lifetime and just become part of our family. Sometimes they become our most loved pets. I live in a more or less rural area and I don't know if people drop them here or if they just find us but however they find us they always have a bowl of food and a place to get out of the weather. I have spayed and neutered probably a dozen cats that have chosen to call our place home over the years. I'm a sucker for a hungry cat that doesn't know where his next meal is coming from and you guys all deserve a pat on the back! Thanks you all for what you guys do and please keep it up!!

I saw only a few of those cats with "tipped ears", indicating that they were part of a TNR program. The only way to control the feral population is thru TNR (Trap - Neuter - Release). While feeding them is compassionate (I'm currently feeding a feral who comes to a feeding station inside my garage - 2 or 3 times a day), we really need to control the numbers, and where possible, rescue those which appear to be abandoned former house cats (so they can find a new forever home). Thanks to Weruva & Cat Man Chris.

I would love to take care of a stray cat community, but we don't have anything like that where Iive. There are very few stray cats. One that did appear in our yard 3 years ago now is one of our pets. He came to the right place.
