New sub !! Deciding between the 1000 or the 2500 brand new 2 mpc but I love the older machines . Any suggestions?
@UranKabashi4 жыл бұрын
Man both are really good to be honest - the workflow and features on the 2500 are legit, but the 1000 and especially the 2000XL are classics. Up to you - can’t go wrong!
@jesusrodriguez70853 жыл бұрын
Good shit bro!! Does this eliminate the vinyl player you would need for the sp404?? Am a beginner looking to start making beats!?!
@soupgoood3 жыл бұрын
You never need vinal for making beats, you can record off anything, your phone, tape, cd, a guitar
@UranKabashi3 жыл бұрын
Exactly. You can also chop up samples on your computer and transfer them directly
@mastaboog749 Жыл бұрын
did you edit kabashi on your startup of the MPC 1000? or can you add custom start up screens with a custom OS? I would actually love to do that with my 1000 im rebuilding.
@UranKabashi Жыл бұрын
Hey there - yes I created for the original Akai OS. I did recently test on JJOS2XL - and it does work. Posting a video on it soon

Should i buy a Mpc 1000 as a beginner? I want to make a Boombap Ep. Is it right for that?
@UranKabashi2 жыл бұрын
It’s an easy tool to learn once you spend some time on it. I would recommend it

Hey so I want to purchase a 1000 in the nearby future how do you save drum kits, like in a usb stick or as card or those camera memory cards?
@UranKabashi Жыл бұрын
Yo I would definitely recommend MPC1000! You can save the kits and your programs in a Compact Flash or CF card, it’s like a bigger SD card.

Bro that 1K Life!!!!!!!!! how did you get the screen splash ? Dope Beat!!
@UranKabashi4 жыл бұрын
Yoo! Pretty easy, you just have to creat a bitmap file with specific dimensions and upload into card, then it will load it up
@blubuddhabeats45004 жыл бұрын
@@UranKabashi bro i'm sorry to bother you I don't know what a bitmap is LOL

so you cant play the melody/sample whilst adding drums?
@UranKabashi2 жыл бұрын
I mean you can, but that doesn’t allow you flexibility when you are mixing the sounds together in DAW. If you want to turn down or add effects to the drums, you will be affecting the sample and vice versa
@Stoney-Jacksman2 жыл бұрын
@@UranKabashi Thanks for the reply. Bu Nah, I mean on different tracks of course. So to let the loop of the sample play and then record a drum pattern separately. This is not possible? Im asking because im interested in buying one of these.
@UranKabashi2 жыл бұрын
@@Stoney-Jacksman You can with the multiple outs that are in the back of the MPC 1000. As someone said, the FX and functionality is a bit limited. Plus you need a mixer to handle it and lots of 1/4in cables
@Stoney-Jacksman2 жыл бұрын
@@UranKabashi Oh damn..thanks for the reply again bro. Its so weird that I have always thought it could do this. I have an sp404sx so I guess I could cut the sample on the mpc1000 and then record it to the SP and then let it play there to play drums over it, right? But then again I just spent some time reading and watching videos, and seeing that im used to recycle for chopping- I think the mpc would make it much harder for me to chop as how im doing now.
@UranKabashi2 жыл бұрын
@@Stoney-Jacksman Chopping is time consuming on the MPC. You can cut the sample on the MPC and send to SP404X easily
