Thanks for doing an on the water review 1st take of the Flash. I was excited to see this boat on the water. Always enjoy your videos.

I was pumped to finally get out in one and test it out. I've been hearing about it for almost a year. Going to open the doors to pedal drives for a lot of people.

Hello Dan this was a good review of the kayak man. Look like a real nice kayak to have. It sure didn't take long to set it up with two people. I'm surprised there was enough space for the dog to sit there. I take it was her first time kayaking? Good video thank you for sharing.

So comparing this to the perception 10 pedal drive which would be more stable since the perception is wider.

What's the warranty on the drive? How robust? Total cost?
@HeadwatersKayak2 жыл бұрын
Two years. The boat and drive cost $1599. The drive is built super stout. I’ve had no issues with any I’ve sold them too in the past two seasons. Far better than my experience with some other manufactures drives.

I'm 6'2" 250 lbs. Currently sporting a Ocean Malibu Two Tandem Kayak. I want to upgrade to an inexpensive pedal kayak with rudder. I watched your review of the Seastream Angler 120, Feelfree Moken 12.5, and the 3 Waters Big Fish 120. Curious your thoughts on the Pelican Premium Getaway 110 HDII Pedal Drive kayak ($1000-$1150).

Torn between this one and sportsman 10.6. Why is sportsman 500 more? Recreation use, i dont fish, just like calm lake kayaking.

Thought you sold headwaters? So you still own it?
@HeadwatersKayak2 жыл бұрын
I sold my retail store and they renamed it to Lodi Paddlesports. Headwaters Kayak is still a business. We just sell wholesale and lead trips, lessons, and host rentals.

How's the steering lndexed? Looks like to go right it would hit the seat. Also is the 70lbs without seat and drive?
@HeadwatersKayak2 жыл бұрын
It’s offset slightly to the left. When it goes all the way right it touches the seat.
@HeadwatersKayak2 жыл бұрын
70 without drive I believe. But check the description for stats.

Would you say this is stable enough and recommend this for the ocean? At only 30 inches wide i would imagine it isn’t near as stable as some of the other brands.
@HeadwatersKayak2 жыл бұрын
It’s a small boat for the ocean. The width isn’t the problem, the seat hight is. Longer is better.
@d.warrick98342 жыл бұрын
What's the biggest difference between this and the seastream angler 120 PD you also reviewed? Just the length??
@HeadwatersKayak2 жыл бұрын
Size and stability. More stable and more room to move around. Much heavier Off the water.

This or the hobie passport?
@HeadwatersKayak2 жыл бұрын
I’d go with a Flash unless I used the kayak somewhere with a lot of weeds. I think the Flash is better in most every way, however the Hobie drive does a better job moving through weeds, than a prop drive.

I was wondering if someone would ask. They are Smith Bike glasses. I hit the road that morning at 5am and forgot my sun glasses. Thankfully I had my bike glasses in the truck from a ride the day before.

This is EXACTLY what I’m interested in. A 10.5 foot pedal drive that I can comfortably stand in that’s not too heavy. Love that it has the wheel. Now I just have to convince the wife 😂👍
