I was just expecting hot flushes and night sweats.

thank You for making me aware of this !!! I am 49 and first began menopause when I was 31, ( copious amounts of hormones were administered to yank me out of it). I've found the past two years if my life have been gravely affected, "the mere ability to do ANYTHING"!!! this IS 100% contrary to my natural personality !!! I feel like I'm sinking and NOBODY understands. so nice to hear I'm not alone and loosing my mind !!! menopause IS and HAS stolen years from me...

Hi Tilly, unfortunately fluctuating hormones can exacerbate some of the symptoms you describe, but with time, we would hope that they should start to calm. Our product Menopause Support may be an option for you, but considering your family history you should check with your doctor first if it might be suitable. www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/soy-isoflavones/ Other calming herbs such as our AvenaCalm may also be helpful for you during this time, www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/avena-sativa-avenacalm/ as would be contacting your doctor regarding some more CBT if you feel you need some further support.

Hi Peggy I am sorry to hear that you are struggling through the menopause. Have you had an extensive check up with your doctor about your symptoms? Other health issues such as low iron, poor thyroid function, low vitamin D and Vit B12 can often appear in the menopause and all can cause symptoms similar to the one’s you are experiencing. It may be an idea to ask your doctor to test for these just to rule them out.
