If you lived in this country at that time, you KNEW you lived in the best, most powerful, most free place in the world, no doubt. That feeling slowly changed for the worse. Then in Sept. of 2001 that event actually brought that feeling back again for awhile. And then we are where we are today. To some, today’s country is all they know. I try to explain to my 20 year old daughter that it wasn’t always like this. She doesn’t get it, she wasn’t there to feel it. She was actually born a month after Sept. 2001. The crazy part is, close to the majority do not even realize how bad it has become. We didn’t have a perfect country 30 years ago, but the craziness we are dealing with today is astonishing. And the fact that many seem content living this way and think this is living free is also mind boggling. Some aren’t old enough to remember and a lot that are old enough seem to have been brainwashed into compliance.
