Very down to earth window to a time in music that was a huge part of my youth in the 60's. The Young Rascals had amazing songs & harmonies all the neighborhood bands (lower east side - nyc) loved playing. Thanks Felix. I still listen to them & dig them a lot !

He was from Pelham and I was from Yonkers, both in Westchester County. I ran into him once at the height of The Rascal's fame at the WC driver's License renewal place near White Plains on Central Av. We both have birthdays in January and both had to renew at the same time...!

@@bholaoates1542 Well… he was there on line for a Driver's License renewal in White Planes with me that day in December 1967. We chatted for a little while. I had just seen him on television a few nights before. He had a camel hair coat and s cashmere scarf a hat and his beard.

@@RTA6226 Wow,...my aunt lived in White Plains and worked at Chemical Bank in the mid to late 60's....Felix came in with his dad (to meet with a manager) and they chatted with her (she was unaware who the Rascals were) so next time she got an autographed album (the First one)....I wish I knew what happened to it!....My aunt bought the same album and gave it to me. She was about 50 years old then and that is probably the only Rock 'n Roll music she ever bought!

Why not mention that Dino was from Jersey too?....Also, the interviewer should've mentioned the place Joey Dee & The Starlighters played in the Rascals start....He mentions the Flamingoes and Vanilla Fudge but not Joey Dee?

You're right. That would mean the interviewer doing her homework before the interview. Felix not mentioning Dino being from Jersey was just a slip.

So, you failed to mention how you overrode your manager who had doubled your price for an appearance at our Trumbull (CT) high school prom in June 1967....because "Groovin'" had become number one that June....you came and played your hearts out for far longer than your 1 1/2 hour show as denoted in your contract. Can we schedule you to come back for our 50th high school reunion in June 2017?
