The German autobahn experience indicates that speed limits have little or no effect on road deaths on rural freeways. I used to be on the staff of a trauma hospital which was located near a major urban freeway. The hospital kept an accident location map. Most of freeway accidents were near the ramps. Some of the ramps were on ramps extending into off ramps. These ramps had a particularly high accident rate. In many parts of the world speed cameras are used for traffic enforcement and there is a no chase policy.

Thankfully Dustin never went to jail for street racing - oh wait - nevermind Back in VA this guy I knew had a 455 Olds Rocket engine that was built by a Winston Cup engineer. One day he called me and asked if I wanted to drive it as I had helped put the car together. At around 2am I topped it out on a Virginia highway at around 220mph and I used this enormous hill to help slow the car back down. We came over the hill and police had blocked the road. They eventually let us go because they didn't catch us speeding but one of the officers mentioned a fire spotter plane called in the vehicle because he couldn't keep up with the car and figured we may be going over the speed limit. The VA state police didn't get us that day but they more than made up for it later. Don't speed in VA- OMG. Pretty sure the maximum penalty for speeding in VA is death by firing squad.

Active is still around in Miami, Ics performance tuned his 1995 m3 to 540hp. At the time it was one of the fastest street cars on the road in 2002. 3.2 and 3.0 u.s spec motors is better for boost than the euro spec version. High duration 2.5 bore and stroke to 3.0 thicker silender walls for the 95 u s e36 m3's , 3.2 u.s can also handle high boost, Dado's was swapped for lower milege 3.2 us motor to 540hp🤣😂🙄insane for 2002. Hydrolic lifters meant no valve train adjustment, plus u.s spec m3 manuals gear box ran of automatic Transmission fluid. No gear box oil change needed,

Judges in small midwest towns are fucking awesome. It's not quite as prevalent now as it used to be, but there used to be a judge in every rinky dink midwestern county that would gladly take a bribe to drop or lessen charges. We used to know a judge that was literally funneling tens of thousands of dollars in "donations" as head of a courthouse restoration committee of which he was the only member. The ONLY thing he spent the money on for the courthouse was a metal plaque with the building dedication date on it. The rest went right into his pocket. He has long since passed away but we have heard that his grandson inherited well over a million dollars after he passed.
