this is what i loved about the armour system in assasins creed odyssey. Because there is a male and a female character to choose from, and the armour is the same either way, you could very well go and wear a full suit of armour or bikini briefs on _either_ character.

I like how the NPC was trying his best to redirect her choice because he was embarrassed by the bikini armor reward. He was being a Chad and knew she wasn't going to like the female "breastplate" but the script cleverly insinuated that he was belittling her by hard selling the staff.

This is why Elder Scrolls games really deserve credit - not only did that piece of armor you picked off a corpse magically fit your character (despite the fact that the corpse was that of a bosmer woman and you're a orsimer man two or three times their size), but armor looks the same for both genders (and virtually all races, with some clipping issues, of course).

I don’t know about the older games but in Skyrim in definitely does not look the same for both genders. Half of the female armours give these big bump outs for the breasts which would be very bad for real armour. And there are definitely a few female armours that are more revealing than the male armour. I love Skyrim but that’s the one thing I hate about it.
