But these same people of color are still classified as white. It’s a deceiving term, because these other people of color are benefiting from the rights that were originally in place for Black people. The presence of a Y chromosome makes a human a male. It doesn’t matter how many Xs you have or what you physically look like. The Y carries everything that makes a male a male. The absence of it creates a female. It’s science. Also, not all biological females can get pregnant so the term isn’t inclusive at all. Actually it’s very exclusive seeing as only bio females between the stages of puberty and menopause count in it (not including females who have a genetic disorder or who have had something happen to their reproductive parts).

I agree with you completely -- just wanted to add that the technical means of differentiating between men and women is gamete production, not chromosomes. If someone produces eggs, or would produce eggs if their reproductive system's functioning properly, they are a biological woman. Same for sperm and men. It's perfectly binary and someone's fertility status has nothing to do with it. Example: in the US abortion is a hot button issue. This person would argue that when talking about abortion we would use terms like "people who can get pregnant" because it excludes women who are infertile and includes people who do not identify as women that can also get pregnant. Also they are speaking to be inclusive to intersex people. Intersex people can have ambiguous sexual characteristics that don't neatly fit into the boxes of men and women or even male and female. So they make the arguments to focus on how people's bodies function rather than a broad term that may not recognize everyone who fits the description.
