This is a video we did showing how to test an old Sears Weed Burner Electric Fencer. Testing a weed burner type of electric fencer is done by using a digital multimeter set on AC volts. Depending on the make and model, the AC out voltage reading should be between 300-600 volts ac. YOU CANNOT USE A REGULAR ELECTRIC FENCE TESTER to test a weed burner type of electric fencer.

Not real far. It's not a low impedance type, so it can only go so far. I am would say and acre or less and that acre might be generous.

where do get 4 prong circuit breaker

Your best bet is to look on eBay and type in 4 prong weed chopper. But you're going to pay a premium for it these days if you find one, $40-$80 for one. The only place that was still making them stopped 3 years ago, so whatever is still out there is rare, so you'll pay top dollar if you really want one and you can actually find one. I used up my last batch of them last summer and wish I had bought more, but I didn't realize back then they were no longer being made or I would've bought as many I could've afforded to buy. If you want a newer model built today that's gives a decent shock and isn't super expensive and pretty reliable 5-10 +/- years minus lightning surges, and also repairable in the future, look at the brand Power Wizard and they're models PW1500, PW2000, or PW3000, all still less than $200 new.

Search eBay for a 4 prong weed chopper and that will be your best chance, which isn't a guarantee, that you might find one but you'll pay top dollar and eventually the choppers will be gone 100% and none will be available.

They use a specific one in those, and I'll you watch the video to see if it is a 3 prong or 4 prong. You can't switch between the two you have to use the correct one made for it.

Thanks for the information yeah I was referencing the adapter on the side a friend brought one by the house but it doesn’t have the adapter with it (4prong) and I was curious if those parts could possibly still be available

That clicking sound was another electric fence box that was working in the background. Sorry about that. I work on 100's of these a month of different brands for the last 15 years, so I'm used to it.
