I agree the Jazzmaster tremolo is really different from a Stratocaster tremolo in such a good way. I used to think Jazzmasters were only for hipsters but they are not! They're very inspirational.

@@davidjairala69 surprisingly Jazzmasters got used in alot of alternative goth rock music, The Cure, Sisters of Mercy. Kurt Cobain even used one at one point besides the Mustang. Dave Grohl i believe has a signature Jazzmaster, Jim Root of Slipknot, which i was surprised to see his name. i knew about his Telecaster, but i didn't know there was a Jim Root Jazzmaster. John 5 of Marilyn Manson has one, he also has a signature Telecaster. it's primarily meant for surfer and sonic music, but surprisingly alot of metal gets recorded with it. it has a really interesting tone, the Mustang was designed for hard rock and heavy metal, but only a few rock legends have actually used it. Kurt Cobain is the most famous name attached. some people claim he actually played a Jaguar, i do remember him using one early on, but Nevermind Nirvana's most famous album was recorded with a Mustang. if you watch most of there most iconic songs, Kurt uses a Mustang.

Probably the best Jaguar Fender has made had one briefly sent it back to sweet water due to finish crack and they got discontinued. Hoping to get a used one at some point and also that the Panoramic trem is swappable because that would make it epic!

Love my J Mascis Squier Jazz Master. Had to switch bridge posts on it to raise the action, but now it's great! I feel my bridge pickup is a bit weak so it will probably get replaced with something hotter later. But the neck pickup is amazing balls!
@feinkevi

I prefer the jazzmaster trem over a strat all day every day. Way more musical and easy to use, less tuning hassle. And the top wheels are just a separate volume and tone knob for when the switch is in the “up” position. Switch up goes to just neck pickup and the wheels for volume/tone, switch down and it goes to the knobs and pickup selector. The pots are different so they give you a different range of sounds, but pretty straightforward to use.
@feinkevi
@feinkevi 3 жыл бұрын
Oh looks like for this model they made the up position engage both pickups instead of just neck. Not “traditional” but hey it sounds great and that’s what counts.

If it was green instead of blue it would be perfect (4 me). I have a Tele Custom with P 90s with 4 knobs that's also capable of the "roll-in or out" factor. It's not as simple as the 2 knob Tele but has more tonal options.

My Jag came with high gain PU's that roll between Humbucker and Single Coil. It has a Rythym/Lead switch like that push button. I love PRS, Jax, ESP but find my way to the Jaguar. Before now I haven’t given much thought to how a Fender Jazzmaster might sound with distortion. As you say “Magnificent!” I too am surprised with the tones. I dare say I believe that beauty is quite capable of doing it all?! 🤔 I really like the way it sounds when you are in that neck pick up rolling back the tone knobs. The bridge pick up with more bass is my sweet spot! I would definitely be interested if you do a demo but either ways I look forward to more videos with this special guitar!
@hondacivic7793

Dude they are KILLER with distortion. I like to set the distortion with a little more gain and a smidge less treble to compensate for them being single coils, and the rhythm circuit can be a little muddy when you do that, but its still an awesome sound if you can figure out how to work with it.
@gregorywilson3318
@gregorywilson3318 3 жыл бұрын
@@hondacivic7793 just learned two months ago to always have the dirty channel/switch on, master volume crancked using the volume knob on my guitar to control how hairy or cleaner my sound is. It completely brought my cheap amp alive. Someone said that Jazzmasters are noise machines but aren’t all guitars with a lot of gain?! Anyway, back to the amp I usually have the gain on my amp either at 2 or just below 2 for more clean stuff and of course dialing up the gain when I want to play heavy. I am still a beginner with low center vision so for now I am working with my Squier Strat’ player pack/bundle but I am now wanting to plug in a Jazzmaster whenever I get a chance to go to my local guitar shop. I was thinking of a PRS custom 24 yet I think I need to check out that Jazzmaster I love that it is like p90’s but not as their boosted with a bit more funk and I do enjoy using my guitar for controling my tones so seems like a perfect match.
