to me its and underrated fish, i remember earlier someone commented like '' no one wants to see a rudd'' but i find them exremely beautiful, not sure what they meant, i guess perhaps it was that its usually smaller than bream tench and carp

Great video! That is a big rudd. I caught a 1 pounder in my last video. 2 pounds would be a nice pb. The bite happened at 1am in total darkness.

Have you any advice ,I am coming to the fens 16th June 2023 and intend to bivvy along the 40 foot /old nene /river cam .

@@johnstockburn6396 I caught mine from a different body of water. But if you go for big rudd i've had the most luck with them on double corn(sweetcorn). Thin fluoro hooklength.

@@NorlingFishing anything approaching one pound in weight is a giant , I just love the golden hue and red fins.
