Naloxone, the active ingredient in 4mg Narcan and higher dose 8mg Kloxxado, along with many generic versions, can reverse an opioid overdose if administered quickly enough. Some areas have Naloxone available for free. Google it.

I am a 43 year old social worker, mother of 2 beautiful boys aged 13 and 8, by all intents and purposes, a successful upper middle class person. I suffer from kidney disease, and degenerative disc disorder. I say that to say this, addiction doesn't discriminate. I am 15 months clean and sober from Fentanyl addiction that began by being given astronomically high dose prescriptions of Fentanyl by my primary care doctor in an attempt to enable me to continue working thru the pain. I am blessed to have survived Fentanyl and be on the other side now. I watch these videos as a reminder of what could have been and to pay tribute to those who weren't as fortunate. All of the families featured in these videos continue to be in my prayers. ❤❤❤❤

@ca3132 It's a genetic mutation that causes me to produce kidney stones at rapid rates among other things. I had my first surgery at 4. I'm currently doing very well and have learned things to do to manage symptoms without pharmaceutical intervention and for that, I am beyond thankful.

Glad to hear you're learning to manage the pain better. Today it's almost impossible to get even 1 pain pill from a doctor let alone high doses of fent so thats interesting. They were monitoring you & that fent is controlled vs most of these stories. These are illegal/unmonitored fent mixed in another drug I believe, which makes it more dangerous.

@zenawarrior7442 I found myself in a situation where I was prescribed 150 mcg Fentanyl patches along with Oxycodone. After a while, the prescribed medication wasn't enough and I began to purchase it on the street. What I didn't realize then was that my physical pain WAS controlled; however, I was trying to numb MENTAL pain with increasing large doses of narcotics. I found myself addicted and losing all that mattered to me. I decided to stop cold turkey, which was absolutely horrible for 19 days and enter into out patient treatment for substance use and mental health counseling. That was over a year ago and I haven't looked back. My physician, counselor, and God have given me my life back and I am SO thankful that I am not an overdose/poisoning statistic. This is the short version of a long journey. Because I was successful and my husband was successful, no one suspected and I was enabled out of love, once my family realized. I had to stop or I would be dead. I wasn't your stereotypical addict but I was an addict, just the same, despite the reasons why it happened. You are correct in your assumptions regarding pharmaceutical grade Fentanyl and street grade Fentanyl. It's poison, all the way around, at least for me.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My 21-year-old granddaughter became addicted to fentanyl over a year and a half ago. She overdosed twice and had to be Narcanned. The second overdose happened when she was in sober living after going to rehab. She had to be given Narcan ten times and was in ICU for over a week. She now has almost a year sober. I'm very grateful for that, but I worry every day that she could relapse again...Fentanyl is a very evil drug.

@@shrimpie69 it was a long process for me cuz i had alot of psychological and emotional issues I had to basically start learning to face sober again. Im still on suboxone but my life is completely different now. It took me 9 whole months b4 my brain rewired itself. The hardest part is the beginning becuz u have to work ur way up in doses untill u reach one that suits u cuz u go up in little bits and u have to stay clean each time so the hardest part is that. At first u have to go every day to take ur dose and u see the doctor every few days to go up in dose but if u stay clean and work ur way up u eventually get to take take all ur medication for the week home and u u only go once a week to drug test and pick up the meds and see the doctor once a month and u basically go up as much as u need to to forget about opiates and u ween down when u feel ready they dont force u to do anything when u arent ready.

A friend of mine had major insomnia for years, she went to see a psychologist/therapist who specializes in sleep disorders and it fixed her problems. The therapists worked with her for a while, gave her special tips and it worked. If not, medical Indica? If it’s legal where you live, this is what I take if I have insomnia, if not, a doctor could maybe prescribe it to you in the form of capsule or oil.

I grew up suffering off and on with chronic insomnia. My condition is mild compared to my mother. She was badly addicted to over the counter barbiturates. She was always in a torpid almost comatose state. When she tried to get off the pills she would have a nervous breakdown. She used to tell me that I would suffer the same fate. While she was telling me I would pray to God ‘please let it be so that i don’t have a nervous breakdown or become addicted to drugs. So far it has worked. I’m a lil squirrelly at times, but no breakdowns. I went to a period where I tried weed and street drugs to keep up with my peers. Then I’d remember that talked with God. I dropped that activity. I wasn’t much a druggie or beer drinker. I stopped drinking beer and alcohol as well. The people out there who can sleep well, you are blessed. I’m often sleep deprived but I refuse to take anything for it.

I’ve never discussed this before, but when I was 4 or5 my mom was in the kitchen of my grandmothers house, and she was flailing around. Her brother, my uncle, grabbed my mom and wrestled, and pinned her to the floor. I’m protesting ‘leave my Moma alone! I got down close to my moma’s face and she told me ‘it’s gonna be alright baby.’ Years later I figured it out that she had just suffered a breakdown. True story.

As I mentioned I went to a period where I dabbled with drugs. BTW weed is a gateway drug. I never knew anyone who Overdosed or died, not in person. While I was away in the military this guy I knew took too many drugs and it killed him. His older brother told me about it. Back then someone like me could experiment and get away with it. Now, you make one false move and bam! You’re dead. Don’t do drugs folks. Read the Bible, pray get close to the Lord. The enemy of souls is not playing around.

Fentanyl is NOT a murder drug. It helps people like me with our severe pain, however it is given by a doctor in very calculated doses under strict conditions. It is illegal fentanyl that IS a murder drug as you never know what dose you are getting. That aside, I'm really sorry to his mum and stepdad. I can still see the pain in his mother's eyes. This message needs to go far because I'm tired of videos like this. The deaths never stop. What is happening???????😢💔

I'm willing to bet you can't get oxy for stubbing a toe. I'm very sad this family endured any part of the opiod crisis in any single way, but I do believe this intelligent man was in pain of real emotional and probable withdrawl symptoms when he took what he bought.

Horrible struggle!!! I'm so sorry for your loss..😢 Thank you for sharing your son's story. Hopefully, this may help people know a little bit more about the chemical changes that happens in the brain. It has nothing to do with will power! The more people understand this, maybe we can end the stigma and allow others to seek help without fear of judgment. .. We are failing as a society when the authorities not only not investigate, but swept under the rug!!! We hear more about Fentanyl now...but this poisoning was going on years ago! I had never heard of it either! 😢 The frustration you must feel about that is probably unbearable... Someone really dropped the ball as far as any kind of warning! 💔 God bless y'all...🙏🙌💕

What a talented man he was. I liked that song he was singing there at the end. My son also passed away from an overdose. Not fentynl but I believe it had fent in it. Haven't got the toxicity report yet. Thank you for sharing you're story. Cullen story is similar to my son's story. He didn't want to die either. Rip Cullen logan

😭I feel for you. I know LE don’t care. They dismiss those deaths as OD ,and move on. Never listen to family and follow up to find those poisoners. May Cullen rest in peace and God open his hand to receive his noble soul.

Man this one hit me 10 times harder than the rest. Hearing his beautiful music and his beautiful voice and it’s just so incredibly sad that such talent was stripped from this world and most definitely not by his choice. So if he passed from something that was not an accident, or not from something he did to himself then in my book that is 100% murder. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss but thank you for sharing his story

I would absolutely love access to your son’s beautiful music, is that available anywhere? My father was stabbed to death at his own home 20 years ago and that loss devastated our family, my parents were divorced when I was young, then this past September my mother was robbed and beaten to death and was left in a coma and died a month later and nobody was ever charged. My dad played guitar and sang, I miss that so much but back when he played and sang we didn’t have all the recording options that the kids have now and I had some cassette tapes and that is all but I would love to hear more of your sons music. I’m so sorry for your loss, my brother has been using drugs since my fathers murder and I am so scared he is going to die.

I am so very sorry for your loss. It is so tragic that after all the treatment and support he just couldn't overcome this addiction. To think if the pills weren't laced with fentanyl, he would most likely still be here. You and your family are in my prayers.

That's so wrong that just because a person overdoses, or in these cases, is murdered, that the authorities don't view these individuals as people. As important. Sad, sad, sad! But I bet if everyone who's lost someone due to fentanyl poisoning (murder) started making demands & if need be, started protesting and/or rioting, I bet changes would be made then. Individuals with a substance use disorder are people too. They should be treated as such.
