Cats are very stubborn and routine oriented that’s a perfect happy life same thing day in day out. We got a kitten during Covid I was not a cat person we got two actually the male became instantly attached to me more than anyone else he started sleeping on my shoulder when I was home. at bed time I would go in the room he would sleep next to me balled up by my neck. My point to all this he would use the litter box before he followed me to bed as I said before not a cat person litter paws grossed me out also there Maine coons they have long hair and get poop stuck to it. So I trained him to let me clean his paws and wipe his butt before bed every night after I brush my teeth he comes right in I clean him up I give the treats off to bed it’s been four years now and I love him and I love cats now well I love him anyways. FYI it wasn’t easy at first now I shave around his behind he’s and amazingly calm cool cat though

How many people do you imagine are secure enough financially, that they can afford to dedicate that much of their time to rehabilitating a stray cat? How many people do you think have that much free time to give? Yes indeed! I wonder if they live in a really cold wintery environment, because i recently saw a car that had lost the tips of his ears due to frostbite. So sad and had to be painful! Cats normal body temos are higher than ours, tbey cannot deal with cold very well. 😢 but he looks cute and im thankful she took him in! ❤❤❤

Where do you live (country, state etc) that has so many feral cats? I’m from British Columbia Canada and it’s very uncommon compared to other parts of North America to come across a stray or feral cat that has no ownership-identifying tags.

But we have some very thoughtless dopes in this country...cats R sometimes abandoned for various reasons, and these idiots think they'll be fine outdoors.

Unfortunately, a lot of people are very cruel to stray animals, especially stray cats. If I was a stray cat I would have a hard time trusting people also. Trusting the wrong human can cost a cat its life.

RIP TomTom. He was a great kitten grandpa. Katie did a wonderful thing to save him and turn him from a feral street cat to a happy house cat. It was a very sad day last year when he passed, but he spent his last years surrounded with love and a beautiful safe home which he had never known before Katie rescued him.

Omg I'm so sorry. 😭 He had a wonderful life under the loving care of an earth angel. 💖There's a feral that hangs around our backyard that looks just like Tom Tom - ears and all. I've always wondered why his ears look the way they do, if it's due to injury or just breed type. Do you know why Tom Tom's ears were like that? I've been so curious about the huge gorgeous feral in my backyard - who I also call Tom. 💙 PS. I think I have his son or grandson. Last summer there was a single abandoned 5 week old kitten crying outside my bedroom window for hours. I went outside to see what was going on and this tiny baby came RUNNING at me crying his eyes out like he'd known me forever. I picked him up and he immediately began to purr. 🥰 After a few minutes I placed him on the ground and he started crying then literally climbed up my leg all the way to my waist. The rest is history. Nijiibay (aka Niijii) is now my best friend and my literal shadow. He found me during a very difficult time in life when I was in deep grief over the loss of my beautiful girl Bezhik who was my best friend of 15 years. Less than 24 hours after I was calling her name to trick my brain into feeling like she was still here, Nijiibay showed up. 🙏 I truly believe he was sent to me by Bezhik and God. Or perhaps her spirit came back to me through him. Nijiibay is the Ojibwe word for "spirit". And Niijii is the Ojibwe word for "friend". 💖💖💖

And watching this video I just know it has inspired others as well. ALL my 🐈🐈‍⬛'s have been rescued by me over the yrs. One just went to Heaven on 4-6-24. Her name is Angel she was 15 yrs old. They are still domesticated, but they just don't have a home and unfortunately have to live on the streets. We would only very rarely see real wild cats (which are not domesticated) in their natural environment, in the forest, because they avoid people as much as possible, like most wild animals. But I know what you mean🤗

This reminds me of Grandpa Mason w/ Tiny Kittens rescue! Senior battle scarred feral who had kindney failure & didn't care for humans but once kittens were introduced to him, he melted & became a softy for those kittens just like Tom Tom! Such a powerful story here! ❤❤❤

Rusty was badly hurt when i saw him the first time i took months to get him. It took a year before I could get close to him. I took him to the vet and slowly healed. Today he is my precious baby, all cuddles and love and 16 pounds. Just precious.

Well done! It can be done. All an animal wants is love, food, and shelter. Once they have this, they soon realise this is what was missing. I trained 19 ferals, did TNR, and found loving homes for them. Each one I loved so much. But I couldn't keep 19 of them. I still get the odd photo of some of the younger ones, as many have passed due to old age. Thank you for rescuing and loving Tom Tom. ❤❤❤

I always bring home old cats because I feel sorry for them from the animal shelter and some of them are really me. One wouldn't come out from the bed for days and then when he did he moved to the top of my bed and when I walked by he jumped up.and bit my shoulder. I yelled like him he ran out of the bedroom door left him out in the hall for 3 days. Then he was great. These poor animals have been so abused so great when you can calm them down

Love this!! I too have saved 3 feral cats. Took a long time to get them used to humans, but SO REWARDING!! My two males were/are the best cats I've ever had. They became such loving, amazing babies that just loved me so much. My heart has never been so touched then those 2 cats. So blessed!
