It’s astonishing to me that with every movie in the series (2018 one doesn’t count) they succeed at making the Yautja antagonist of them each more and more grotesque in design and biology. The entire Native Community is praising the film for how it portrays the Comanche tribe, and how realistic and historically accurate the Era is on-screen. Also, Amber Midthunder's and Dakota Beavers' performances as Naru and Taabe are nothing short of praiseworthy on their own. And the dog is definitely the "goodest boy" best supporting actor.

What I love about the feral predator is that it gave me a wendigo vibes, a native folklore creature that hunt on humans or animals. They use some vocal ability to lure it's prey and then go for the kill. What an amazing movie

There are sooo so many timelines and regions of earth this concept could be done in and work. Yes feudal Japan, Viking age, Inca up in the misty Andes, Mayan OR Aztec could tie in great w the hieroglyphs and human sacrifice/knowledge of astronomy, ancient Khmer or Thai empires, Mongol empire on the windy brutal grass swept Steppes, Tuaregs in the Saharra. Even Stone age cultures or pre homosapians it's like never ending possibilities really and I would love to watch or read a comic about any of them.

I was actually contemplating the idea of the Edo period of Fudal Japan when I learned the timeline that Prey was going to be taking place in. That would be awesome to see from any and all aspects. Predator vs Samurai Warriors. If they've gone back as far as to the early 1700s. Perhaps the next one is willing to go a little further back. We all know the Predators can live an excessively long time. So we know that they've been around for thousands of years. Nifty video! Thank you! My wife and I watched this film last night and both really enjoyed it. Though Feral isn't one of my favourite Yautja designs, he looks adequately gruesome. I only had two real complaints about this film: 1) Rattlesnakes don't work like that, and 2) I wasn't a fan of the way they apparently mucked about with the backstory of Raphael Adoloni's pistol. I'm tired of the sci-fi / fantasy properties I've loved for decades retconning stuff that's already been established. It's gotten so prevalent, and the creatives getting so abusive when called out for it, I've just taken to calling it "gaslighting the fans."

Samurai vs Predator sounds interesting. I thought the Cheyenne narrative was a bit of a missed opportunity - they could have made Maya or Aztecs versus Predator - because these culture were far more violent and dominant. The North American tribes had their conflicts - but the Aztecs and Mayas were far more pronounced - and their weapons (like macuahuitl - basically obsidian battle bats) were extremely impressive. However: At the end I am rooting for “The Best Detective” Batman versus Predator!

As many others have already mentioned. We need a Predator movie where the predator is the main character. And where the predator wipes out the opposing humans / xenos. Something that expands the universe and even shows us their battles against other intelligent lifeforms. A story that can perhaps talk about the origins of the yautja race, their culture, or backstory of some legendary yautja (There are many). The predator universe literally has so much potential but all the cucks are afraid to explore it. Because when 'muh humans' are no longer the focus and are losing then everyone gets mad.

They sorta scrapped the Adolinis Pistol story from the comic books and remade it. We dont really know exactly how it will connect to P2 just yet. But yeah, they might complete that story of the pistol getting passed around in the future since they have showed its origins.

In the original Predator, when he removes his mask, there are hoses that are disconnected that are supplying some sort of vapor to the Predator, yet the Predator goes on to function just fine without the mask. The only thing I can think of is the mask for that Predator was supplying a vapor substance that enhances his strength and endurance yet he can function perfectly well within's Earth's standard atmosphere.

I've watched it 4 times! It's (MY OPINION) EQUAL to the original!!! I remember watching the original when it first released and having the anxiety of it stalking Dutch & CO (Jaws vibe) without seeing it till over halfway through the film... I got the SAME feeling during PREY! We also didn't get to see the Predator till halfway through the film. I thought it was a Super Predator, and that was more than good with me! Learning it's a "Feral" Predator makes it intriguing.

I think the predator hunting down a Ninja would be better than a samurai , samurais don’t plan traps or use hunting skills they usually fought head on battles until the death. A ninja would leave more creative space for writers without make-believe tactics that samurais didn’t really use. And they’d be able to use more terrains with a ninja , the jungle for example would be a place a samurai stayed away from , ninjas jumped thru trees, parkoured across rooftops , plant traps, used smoke bombs to retreat from a fight, camouflage & concealed themselves well and the viewers would still get a skilled sword fight etc . Just my opinion

I would love a movie exploring the Predator home world and culture. It's a shame that the only movie that game us a glimpse into it was Aliens vs Predator Requiem. I would also find it interesting if they made a complete movie with a Predator as the protagonist without a single human word said, not even subtitles. Think of the first scene in the first Episode of Arcane, so much is happening, so much is told to the viewer and not a single word is said, if you exclude Powder singing to herself. 3:10 I know we just got the explanation that he sees through the mask by the mask connecting to his heat sensing eyebrows but right at that time stamp it looks like we can see his eyes... clearly it must not be but that lines up really well with his eye placement and it even looks like a little glare reflection off our left, his right eye. I for one think of myself as a predator fan and found it quite hard to relate to the new predator when for all I have known is the original. Even in the books and comics there is the original type so it would of been helpful to get a visual backstory.

I like the idea of a Predator movie set in feudal Japan based around a disgraced samurai who sets out to slay a legendary 'demon' but is actually a Predator trapped on Earth who himself feels disgraced. The two fight in combat to begin with but it ends in a stalemate and eventually the two bond and become closer with each other, both seeking their redemption together

I enjoyed the movie well enough, I would rank it number 4, next to 1,2 and predators. A slight issue I have with this predator is it seemed more willing to just brute force it's way against it's prey instead of stealthily taking them out. Fighting with it's bare hands, when a single arrow or something would be good enough. How this predator killed really wasn't overly efficient or smart, as it resulted in it taking damage where it really shouldn't have if it had just stuck to stealth picking off it's prey efficiently like the Jungle Predator. Perhaps this Yautja was just really confident, or maybe it was just the type to prefer getting down and dirty, fighting with it's bare hands, or maybe it just wanted more of a challenge. Plenty of ways to explain it, but I would honestly not classify this Yautja as that skilled based on what I say in the movie, but given it's size and strength, maybe it never needed to rely on skill and is used to just always winning with brute force, so it never needed to focus on stealth or anything like that, who knows.

We don't know that the River Ghost is from the Game Preserve Planet. In fact, we can be almost certain that it is not, as it was dropped down to the planet in one of the creature cargo crates. We know this because the empty crate they search has cockroach-like bugs in it, and those same bugs seem to have a symbiotic relationship with the River Ghost, living in its body.

Here's an idea for the Oni movie. It can center around the character of Machiko Noguchi in the era of the samurai. (An extremely separate version from her counterpart in the comics) And her relation to a legendary samurai (Nasu Hiroto) who defeated a Predator, keeping it's armor as a trophy. But many years later, a new Predator has arrived on Earth for a new hunt with a time limit before the Yautja return to judge the Predator on its latest hunt. However after much struggle as a samurai, Machiko would decide to learn more about the Predator and adopt it's philosophy in order to learn how to defeat it and decide to use its species's own armor and becomes the first on screen human Predator. The Predator would also have it's own silent character arc as well, let's calm it the Honorable Yautja. The Predator would focus more on using it's own senses and body than rely solely on its own advanced weapons. It would focus on analyzing it's opponent's fighting style and find ways to counter. It also is not addicted to staying in camouflage mode (Like the Feral Yautja in Prey is for some reason) and always prefers to fighting one on one without being invisible. There would be a point in the movie where the Predator's wrist blade gauntlet is damaged, leading it to pull one of the blades out and adopt the fighting style of a samurai. There would also be a point of the movie where the truth about the legendary samurai would be that he failed to defeat the previous Predator and committed Seppuku after being shown mercy by the Predator, who no longer saw him as a threat. In truth, the Yautja self destructed after being surrounded by a previous Shogun's men after using up all of it's tactics against the samurai and the son of the previous Shogun retrieved and did what he could to reforge the Predator armor, believing that the legendary samurai defeated it and so bestowed the armor to the family. There would also be a third antagonist in the form of the Shogun, who wants the Predator's head as a trophy without killing it himself. He represents the antithesis to being a hunter by trying to claim a prize he would not rightfully earn himself. The interference of this Shogun would lead to a scene where Machiko and the Predator would temporarily fight together side by side against the Shogun's strongest samurai, giving us an epic team up battle. Machiko and the Predator would have their epic duel afterwords, but I would have Machiko wound the Predator, but show mercy. This Predator would however hesitate to self destruct and decide to commit Seppuku out of respect for his opponent, adopting the way of the samurai, just as Machiko has adopted the way of the Predator. The movie would end with Machiko preparing for an inevitable Yautja attack in an attempt to retrieve the body of the fallen Predator, and possibly revenge. (I know it's kind off rehashing the female protagonist role from the Prey film, but this idea for an Oni movie would be more about living up to an ancestor's legacy than having to prove that a woman can be a samurai)

Good idea but I'm sick of the yautja dieing in every movie. I would like your idea but at the end the predator would kill everyone and retrieve the stolen armor.

Seems the feral predators got their own unique variant on standard tech and I kinda dig it. Their cloaking energy seems to be orange and not standard blue and seems to work better than the other clans as it doesn't malfunction upon contact with water. Another thing this sub species must be more adaptable as it looks like it didn't need special filters for its Bio Mask.

I've never thought that the Preda normal vision was automatically awful on earth. I always inferred that because the jungle environment was hot it made everything have a similar temp. In theory, at night his vision would be much better since a human would be hotter than the surrounding cooler areas in the forest.

All of this is impressive, prey might get close to making a sequel. Especially one that might take place after aliens earth wars and has some inspiration from the AVP *arcade* game. That would be outstanding and for me quite a step forward and not just backward.

i always thought Heat signature vision was part of the same Reptilian features that it has in digit function and skeletal attachment; but it looks like some authors see them as a bit more insectoid. That feels like a cop-out toward irrational fears of Bugs, when Reptiles have a better pattern of behavior to adhere to these beings. Glad to see this creature developed, favoring the old scaley model. Leaving the insectoid, for the Xenomorphology in this universe.

I enjoy PREY and how they made a new yautja. The feral is just a unique idea and one of my favorites. I like to see prey 2 in Japan maybe another feral yautja but little more stronger plus a yautja sword

One thing I don't get about these creatures is this With their terrible eye sight which allows them to see only heat, how are they able to manipulate their computers, fly their ships see holographic images and other things? Before the invention of their bio masks, how were they able to read, right and create objects and intricate devices let alone massive spaceships with their vision that basically makes non living objects invisible to them?
