Thanks for sharing Fergus, this really resonates, in fact it hits a bit close to home. There are a lot of similarities in the story and I didn't realise we're also the same age. Uni was not a good time and I came close, method and place. Life is a bit better now but it never really disappears completely and there are some underlying issues. Fighting alone like you. Past year I did 3 mini triathlons and a cycling sportive. First powerlifting meet early this year and looking at around 540kg total. Rookie numbers but a few years back I could barely lift the duvet to get out of bed... Thanks for fundraising and spreading the message, it made a difference to me.

My faithful dog was the one who helped me climb out of the abyss some years back. I lost him last August, he was 14 and we'd been together since he was a pup. I just adopted a small shelter dog and hadn't realized just how important a dog is to my mental and emotional health. Dogs are the best.
