For us who grew up in the 90s we love the design of this Ferrari it brings back nostalgia of the f40 and f50 and Ferrari Enzo good old days but I can understand that newer generation in the comments section thinking this car is ugly since they kind of grew up with the LaFerrari which is more a moderate style design

the answer is very very simple if you care to think about it... with current regulations you cant built a hypercar with F80's performance by using a V12 engine. V12 is a monster of an engine and it also weighs a ton. Furthermore, current top tier motorsports use V6 and all their latest technology is developed in these engines. Why did they put a V12 in their SUV (and 12cilindri)? Because they are not intended to be top tier performance cars. One is an already heavy SUV, the other is a grand tourer. Also, almost nobody else is using V12s anywhere and Ferrari should be commended for at least keeping it alive this day and age.

We are in an era of producing expensive machinery for all of those folks who do not need or want to pay tax but also feel that they need to wave their device from the comfort of rarefied garage. No one would ever be able to drive this and not be constantly worried about damaging something. The complexity is remarkable, but is it necessary for a great experience? Imagine losing all the motors, remove tyebv6 and pop a V12 in there. Keep the aero, add anti roll bars, no all wheel drive, lose 350kg in the process and voila.... But it's my opinion. This is still a great car.

Except that I heavily dislike the LaFerrari because it looks like a kit car built in a garage by a team of 5 people for free on their weekends… I have a feeling that this new car is seemed as a bad looking one either by very young people who were like kids when the LaFerrari was revealed, so they like have it as a part of their childhood memories, or by very elderly people who “have already been alive” in the 60s and automatically associate the idea of a good design with the sleek lines of the 60s’ cars.
