Yup my old G6E-T managed high 12's in factory trim with half a tank of fuel and my fat arse onboard so that websites stats are a bit out - maybe testing on normal tarmac?

12.9 is a great number for a stock car like that. The young folks want a 10-second car never having had that power before it's not practical for a daily driver.

@@rabbitphobia Exactly, there is a huge difference between a high 12 second car and a high 11 second car - and a bigger difference again to get into the 10's. Back in my youth if you had a 14 second car, it was considered pretty quick - now days a lot of run of the mill family cars can do that.

A lot of kids on the internet (most of whom don't even have a driver's license) talk about wanting a 10 or even 9 second street car, when they have absolutely no idea what driving an 11 second car is like, nevermind driving an 11 second car on street tyres, on the shitty cracked dusty dirty greasy street surface... Just tickled the throttle on a damp exiting of a small roundabout, in my bog stock 220 AU XR8 Auto, and frightened myself. Nearly humped the centre of the roundabout, followed by nearly humping the median keep left sign. Had to do the lap of shame to get to my exit . You barely need 80 horse and some good old 302w instant torque to shit yourself, let alone 500 !!

Standard FG XR6TURBO,S do 12.25 time,s as per road test,s & tuning shops in Sydney my 2011 FG XR6TURBO did 11.6 at willowbank with x force dump pipe & cat & tuning standard exhaust from cat back.

The gains are all in the dump - mid section but my rear section was pretty beaten up so I replaced the whole lot.
